Craisins are yummy, but I always feel hungry about an hour after eating them.

Is there something wrong with me that, at my age, I have NEVER heard of a "craisin"?Yes , yes there is something wrong with you - I bet you are not from Wisconsin or Massachusetts. What exactly is it? A raisin AND a cranberry? No, a craisin is just a cranberry that has been dried and sweetened. Craisins were initially 'invented' as a use for the byproducts of cranberry juice production and have gained in popularity to the point that Ocean Spray has built plants dedicated to the production of craisins only. |

Just mixed greens, the craisins, and homemade Italian dressing. I asked the person who made the salad if the dried cranberries were peppered, and she just laughed and said I wasn't the only person to ask, but she offered no explanation.SmrtAss, could the mixed greens have contained watercress? Watercress has a slightly peppery flavor. I have never heard of peppery craisns. |

jazgypsy, I'll see the salad maker in two weeks, and I'll try to get a more definitive answer.

Thanks for the explanation, jazgypsy! And you're correct...I'm not from Mass or Wisconsin. Thank God.
