The craisins |

So I had a salad with craisins in it and there was a distinct peppery thing going on. I bought a package myself, and find nothing peppery about them. I'm
disappointed.

Craisins sound like they're little foreign people who live under your stairs.
(The more you know). |

I find it rather easy to round them up and put them in little packages.

I've never had a peppery craisin; what else was on the salad? (I'm about to start some baking and raisin/craisin walnut bread is first on the list!)

Just mixed greens, the craisins, and homemade Italian dressing. I asked the person who made the salad if the dried cranberries were peppered, and she just
laughed and said I wasn't the only person to ask, but she offered no explanation.
I bought some a few days ago and added some to my breakfast granola. No pepper taste. |

Those things are soaked in sugary stuff to sweeten them..making them no better than candy. /debbiedowner.

Thanks! I made it myself from a youtube clip. Paused the clip, took a screenshot, and then edited it in Paint. :)
I must like candy in my salad, and cayenne, too. |

Comparing 1/3 cup craisins ( 138 calories - .5 grams fat - 29.4 grams sugar) to 1/3 cup M&Ms (341 calories - 14.7 grams fat - 44 grams sugar) Full disclosure - I am a cranberry grower. EAT MORE CRANBERRIES!!! (In the industry we call craisins sweetened dries cranberries, cuz Ocean Spray owns the craisin name.) |

What exactly is it? A raisin AND a cranberry?

I'd bought sweetened dried cranberries before, but only bought the Ocean Spray Craisins because of the previously mentioned salad.
