Well, overall it was a very good show. I would rank the couples:
1. Danny and Allie- Quickstep- the hardest couple dance and they pulled it off incredibly well 2. Lisa and Vincent-Afro Jazz- That dance was very suited to their styles 3. Joey and Tamina- Hip-Hop-one of my favorite hip hop routines I have seen on SYTYCD 4. Nico and Arassay- Contemporary-they can do no wrong. I just want to see another emotion from them. I think they might have trouble being 'fun' in a dance 5. Natali and Francis -Rumba- I love Natali, but she bobbled a few times in that routine 6. Lara and Miles-Krump- Buck shmuck didn't engage me until Miles was standing nearly BUCK naked at the end. Hottest bod evah on SYTYCD 7. Jesse and Caroline- I aint buying what he is selling 8. Kaitlyn and Isaak-once again the ladies outdanced the weaker sex, and this was very true for these 2. My wish for going home- Isaak and Lara- but I am dreading seeing who will be bottom 3 this week. |

 Imagine not being in bottom 3 with 2 very weak routines (Okay, I am exaggerating, but still) and being in bottom 3 with a very good
one.

Shoot, I missed it all. I wanted to see near-naked Miles on a nice big television screen, not on youtube or a torrent... BAH! I saw Jesse and Caroline... they
were okay.
Okay... 8 couples and 8 shout outs from the judges? How ridiculous... Anyway, based on the few seconds of each dance I saw... Lara/Miles: krump: Miles looked fucking HOT! But on a more realistic note, it looked like all the other krumps; meh. I don't think they should keep this style, it just doesn't work for two people, even when done well. Izaak/Kaitlyn: looked okay, nothing great. Izaak looked a little awkward... again. Lisa/Vincent: WOW, that looked great. Lisa looked like Heidi in her cuban rumba (I know the style was completely different, but I was wowed by both their movements), and the fluidity and style with which Vincent moves his arms is simply unbelievable. It made his solo last week, and I love it now. Frances/Natalli: I LOVE HER. They looked terrific. I saw no bobbling of the head in the clip (so it didn't happen and your crazy... yep). Allie/Danny: Okay, it pains me to say this... but I am starting to get the feeling that this couple is a little overated. I didn't see anything in that clip that lead me to believe it was the best one ever (maybe it was a bad clip). Also, the fact that so many people were foaming at the mouth over their mambo last weak (placing in it the top 2 routines of the night), when it was at best the 4th best routine (it was far weaker than the obvious top 3, but much stronger than the bottom 4), makes me doubt the praise they recieve. But I'll wait to see the whole dance. I just don't think they dance with enough speed, or are given enough content, to receive such praise. Arrassey/Nico: it looked like the same as last week. Just a different song and Arrassey had convulsions. I'm sure it was great, but come on. Tamina/Joey: maybe they didn't show the right clip, but I didn't really see anything that led me to beleive it was anything special. Jessie/Caroline: I actually saw the whole routine. It was okay. Nothing amazing. I liked the song, since it brought me back to Guitar Hero. Keep in mind, save for Jessie and Caroline, this is only based on the recap clips. Who knows, I might come back tommorrow and rave about the quickstep (I'm not one to not admit when I'm wrong).

I wish this show was up on daily motion or you tube as quickly as CI was. I know some of the performances are, but I hate waiting days to see the whole show.
Boo. (If anyone wants to pm me with instructions for torrents I might try, but I have previously been scared to try because I don't understand the
concept.)
Leah is a little better now, but she always comes across like she is talking about a fabulous pair of shoes. (Based on last week's show that I just saw last night.) Oh, and please please please stop with the blended names for the couples. Please? |

eta: Dallie are awesome. Most ballet dancers never lose the ballet positioning and movement when they do other genres, but Allie does. That is pretty damn amazing.

Some thoughts on the episode: -Agree with BJ that it should have been shorter -Please, I'm begging you judges; stop calling Danny a chameleon. He's had
3 similar dances in a row, all close to his style. -Sorry guys, I know you all love Allie, but she seems kind of fake. Great dancer though, probably one of the
best girls. -Vincent and Lisa are the best technical couple for sure, they're on fire. -I'm really happy for Joey and Tamina. They hit it. Which means
that they'll probably be bottom 3. -Award for worst choreography of the week goes to Caroline and Jesse's rock jazz. It was just kind of....not good.
-Natalli and Francis' rhumba = cheese souffle with a few extra sprinkles of parmesan -It's time for Izaak to leave the competition. He's not
improving fast enough, and his mugging this week was torturous. -Jean Marc should have spoken some more about Nico and Arrassay's performance. 10 minutes
of incoherent praise just wasn't enough. -Miles' abs were disgusting. I'm a guy though...and was probably jealous. For real though, they were kind
of freaky and gross. Good for him though, hahaha -Overall, an enjoyable episode. I hope that ALL of the couples have to dance out of their element next week
though. PS. I rewatched Lisa and Vincent's hiphop yesterday, and it's totally awesome.

I voted for Danny/Allie, Lisa/Vincent, and Lara/Miles. First time I ever voted for this show. I'm a newbie watcher, never got into the show too much
(even the US version) but tuned in tonight and loved those 3. Great dancing. I might watch more reguarly now. Miles ftw :)

I think Dan and Allie were overrated in the first two weeks as well, but I do not think that they were overpraised on the very difficult quickstep. Finally able to vote here on the west coast. Really only for Lisa and Vincent. Dagny, I agree with the silly contractions of the names. Was making fun of them actually. No more from me. |

Overall, I want Tamina to go for the girls and Izaak for the boys. Tamina is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay overrated and Izaak just doesn't seem to really be ready
for the big stage.

wrong). I also really really enjoyed Caroline and Jesse's performance, definitely my favorite performance of theirs by far.

Lol, I finally saw all the reformances (in bad quality), but I will saw that the quickstep was very good. Best in SYTYCD history? That might be a stretch, but definately a great routine. One thing that annoys me about the show is this whole "quickstep curse" people mention (like Leah). It doesn't exist. Yes in season 4, Chelsea/Thayne, and Will and Jessica both ended up in the bottom, and Chelsea did go home, but people have said the quickstep is an automatic B3 before S4, and yet Musa/Natalie, Travis/Donyelle, Lacey/Kameron, and Pasha/Sabra never even touched the bottom anything after their quicksteps (well, Travis was in the B2, but he's the exception). People to stop complaining about that dance, since S4's quickstep B3 curse was an exception. Anyway, something funny I noticed, since some people, like me, have said Arrassey and Nico did a very similar routine to last week. Both choreographers
described the routine the same way:

I am looking through old seasons, and I think the real kiss of death is the krump. (you are right Timmy, quite a few teams have danced the quickstep without being in danger) For the krump, of the 5 times it was danced in the past 3 seasons on SYTYCD USA, only once did the pair NOT end up in bottom 3 or (2 or whatever). That's a pretty shitty success rate (1/5). The foxtrot has a success rate of (3/7) which is still pretty bad. |
