Also, the kiwi seeds were especially sharp and cutting many of their legs. Another thing that made them not want to switch.

There's stones on the bottom. Many racers commented on them during the Detour.

It was the bottoms of their feet getting cut, and I do believe I heard one say their legs were getting scraped up. Only thing I can think of for the latter might be the somewhat abrasive outer skin of the kiwi causing that (rubbing the skin slightly raw). |

Prickly kiwis on top of sharp rocks cut up the racers' feet. But how much were they actually cutting given that Sarah & Terence (usually quickest to
whine), Kelly & Christy (no stranger to bitching), and the blondies all managed to do it. Other teams = NOT TOUGH ENOUGH.

Those babes did it right because they've used the step-master at workout gyms. You don't put all your weight on your feet. If you do, you'll hit
the rocks pretty hard. You support most of your weight by grabbing the side of the tank and leaning over it. Your feet should barely touch the bottom, and then
only lightly to push off.
