A major economic and cultural centre of the world, it is designated a "global city", with a population of 10 million in the city alone (there is a reported 23 million in the Seoul National Capital Area). The fifth most expensive city in the world - and second in Asia, only behin Tokyo, Seoul has not been without trouble in its history: with its location close to the North Korean border, the capital was traded between the NKPA and UNC troops during the Korean War in the 1950s. With its past behind it though, Seoul is the ideal setting for the final leg of this all-Asia race. Teams have all been put on a Korean Air flight from Khorugh to Incheon International Airport, arriving at 11:55 AM PDT. An urban-ecology island, the Park is in fact home to numerous wild animals; with Seoul's bad reputation for pollution, Namsan Park is somewhat of a paradise in the bustling centre. Teams will find the final Detour at the entrance to Namsan Park. Teams are using the South Korean Won for this leg of the race.
