Lots of imagination at work there. For me, it makes up for Jillian not winning last season, even though Jillian said she preferred Kenley's collection. And there was one shot during the final show of Kenley without red lipstick and I thought she looked very pretty. She should go without the red more often.

After all, she was the only one who garnered a constant stream of applause during her show (though you couldn't have guessed that based on last night's program - methinks Bravo tuned the applause down a bit to add a little more suspense).

I don't really understand that because - what else can you do with dresses/clothes, I think everything has been done. Especially now with petals. :) I was happy with the winner - Leaanne line was very well made. I always judge by what I would wear and her dresses were very pretty. Kenley's too. I loved the white dress with painting on the front. Korto's were nice, but half the models were falling out of the dresses, that was really the only negative thing I saw about hers.

Yeah, there was a scene where she's blow drying her hair and she looked hot. Her overall 'look' takes a cute chick with a nice body and makes her look ugly. Even her dress at her show made her look like Snow White.

It's like NinaGarcia's favorite line: "one-note". She used it for the fabulous Laura Bennett and it was the kiss of death. She used it for Leanne and she won anyway. So I guess in Leanne's case, her work is "focused". I am happy Leanne won, though. I think her collection was beautiful and the fact that her only non-neutral color was blue didn't bother me at all, because the shades she did pick were absolutely gorgeous.

I liked the idea, but would have loved her to take a few pieces and just go hog wild. Is there such a thing as too much editing in fashion?

I think the petals looked far too similar in the garments. I still say jack it up a notch, give it cohesion without being so damned literal. It was just far TOO uniform for me. I think that is what the judges meant. What I most loved about Korto's was the jewelry actually incoroporated into the piece. That with the choice colors gave the African vibe, but taken to a new level. I liked Leanne's, would have loved to see a little more (and one piece at least that did not have to be some impeccably "pretty"), thought only two or three of Kenley's pieces were really nice (most were boring, and the red with black looks were, as stated already, horribly 80s).

Seriously, these people are all 'style icons', but aren't they all 'dressed' by some stylist? Aren't they really just throwing on a costume of clothes that someone picked out for them? Give me some Kate Beckinsale and then we can chat. Overall, the final show was a bit 'eh'. I'm really going to miss MrWhiteFolks' "random musings" posts every week. Love the raw, mince-no-words straight guy perspective on such a gay-ass show.
