I guess those McCain supporters are what is known as "low-information voters."

You're seeing a little of what happened October 2004. Kerry supporters get all sour-faced and claim they're moving to Europe. McCain supporters get all
indignant, resort to lies and cursing, and ban other Americans from their parking lots.

I'm sure you can find wacky obama supporters, but outside a rally? Not so sure about that.
The dow is depressing. Even more depressing is my IRA because that's my money. |

After a couple days of nothing new with the polls, West Virginia looks to be significantly slipping from McCain. 538 has it as nearly tied now.

What a difference 2 years make. "A lot of people are apathetic about campaigns because you see a lot of the garbage that goes on in campaigns and the
personal attacks and the character assassinations that are so unnecessary," she said. "They're useless; they detract from the issues." Sarah

Bleh, I can't keep up with this thread. Someone already mentioned it.
On a somewhat related polling note, it's irritating me how all the big names (the CNNs and such) still have so many states as pure tossup when virtually every poll shows Florida, Colorado, Virginia, etc. pretty solidly Obama at this point....or at least moving there. It's not just their map, when they talk about it on air it's "anybody's game." Like, I know they want to make it seem as suspenseful as possible, but seriously. If it's happening, fucking report it. I'm not old enough to remember the day to day polling/coverage of any races that weren't tight (since 00 and 04 were legit too close to call the whole time) but do they always do that? I'm trying to imagine a suspenseful buildup to 84 and it makes me chuckle. |
