I'm sorry, but I LOVED the season premiere. I love the look and feel of this show. So completely debauched.

Why don't they just re-cast the character. I Know that isn't done much on primetime shows but the show has only been on for one season. Well if they're going to recast her, why not just introduce a new character like Lucy Liu that might bring in extra viewers? And then they can use Juliet to have a dramatic death scene or make her be the killer in case they want to keep the Simon Elder character. |

Noooooooooooooo. I love the old Juliet. They can't replace her!

i honestly won't be able to tell the difference if they brought in some other generic blonde 20 something to play Juliet at this point. its so long ago,
who remembers.

Unfortunately, they killed off the wrong wife. Even with a pretty exciting storyline with Jeremy, the bitch is still as useless as Matt Parkman's wife in
Heroes.
Still loved the episode though. |

nomii wrote:Agreed. This show was last on in like...December. I remembered almost nothing, so they could have just recast her. And SHOULD have. I get that they got Lucy Liu for the show which is a big "get", but um there are like 10,000 random blonde actresses in LA, they could have hired less of a name to recast and keep costs down just to keep the character. Its random not having her, and I liked the twins together. btw, about not remembering anything, why the hell wasn't there a "previously on" segment at the beginning? I remember barely anything, and I'm pretty sure I remember more TV shit than average viewers. They really should have recapped just a bit at the beginning. Was the Jeremy/Lisa thing from last season or just totally new? I didn't remember that vibe at all. Last thing I remember with him was some sexay Latina babe. I really just have to get one thing off of my chest though, I absolutely HATE the Simon Elder storyline. I don't think that I can care any less about that character and his plot.ME TOO! Its so totally ugh. Yeah, I get that they need an antagonist to the family, but they should go the Gossip Girl route where they bring random recurrings in every few episodes to stir shit up. I don't understand why anyone deals with this guy at all. Everytime they give him screen time it just kills the momentum of the episode. |

Last thing I remember with him was some sexay Latina babe.Well, this is from memory from last year, but he was seeing that Latina babe from the parking garage, but then she found out that he really wasn't a struggling artist or whatever. And didn't Lisa help him with the art part of playing an artist and then they kissed in the gallery she works at or something? Anyway, they definitely did kiss last year, and apparently Jeremy (STEP OFF COCO - HE'S MINE!!!) still (6 months later) can't stop thinking about her. I hope I got that sort of semi-right for you. |

The only part about the premiere I didn't like was when Nick and Karen were drinking and almost kissed. It was out of character for Nick to even think of
doing it, and completely out of character for Karen to not kiss him. I don't buy the whole "Karen has a
heart" storyline now.. it's stupid and I think it's gonna ruin her character if she starts to go soft and she ends up getting played by Simon.

Yeah Jeremy & Lisa were semi involved (more on his part) last year when she helped him pose an as an artist to appear to be a struggling, non rich guy. I
like that it's carried over.
And he's TOTALLY mine bitch! :) But I'm willing to share if you untie and release Rex. |

I finally got a chance to watch the premiere and thought it was fine. Yeah there was an awful lot of backstory being set into place, but that's to be
expected after this long of an offseason + start of new season.
Why are you all saying Karen's now got a heart of gold? Just because she didn't bite on Simon's "gift"? You did see her handing the crystal swan to Daddy just before the arrest -- which should be significant although I have no idea how. The Jeremy/Nick's wife plot really is stupid though. I'm kind of glad they're getting back into who killed Dutch territory. Line of the night: "Going to Munich and closing that factory and firing all those people -- that was fun." |

I think the episode was pretty meh - but there were just enough amazing "oh shit" moments to re-hook me for the final 12 episodes.

Well HE said it was just a worthless nothing he bought when he was poor that was a memento to him, but then later when he gave Karen the oil, he said his other great product is a prism or something? So I'm guessing Karen figured that the swan thing was the actually important object and thats the only reason she gave the oil back. |

Damn, is no one watching!?!?
I'm actually back to LOVING DSM this episode! <333 Yaaaay! My hatred for the premier really put me in a bad mood last week. This episode so far is HAWT! I think Brian is the successor. |

I'm watching. Nick's successor recommendation blew me away. Honestly, it's the only one that makes sense though.
That eulogy was priceless. eta: Whoa! I didn't see that coming! The jr. Darlings are PISSED!

I thought that since Simon said it was worthless, Karen brought it to Tripp because she had to bring something or else Tripp would get suspicious. But I agree that the Simon Elder storyline brings down any momentum that show builds up in previous scenes. I don't like the fact that he's either going to be the really good guy, or the really bad guy, depending on who actually killed Dutch. I just don't want him that involved with the central plot of the show because he brings everything down. Why are you all saying Karen's now got a heart of gold? Just because she didn't bite on Simon's "gift"? You did see her handing the crystal swan to Daddy just before the arrest -- which should be significant although I have no idea how. |

Much better episode lastnight. I'm loving Lucy Liu's character. I actually felt bad for Brian at the end.

Enjoying this season just as much as the last one. I really hope this doesn't get cancelled.
I wasn't expecting Nick to be appointed as the successor. I KNEW it wouldn't be Brian, but I thought Trip was going to change it to Karen. Nice shock there. Im slowly growing tired of the constant Nick and Lisa relationship though. Either keep them happy, get them divorced, or kill one of them off. I wont be able to deal with much more good terms/bad terms between the two of them. And I hate how Jeremy always puts his family second. He did it last season too, and he is already doing it this season. If he can help get his mom off with the information about he DA and him sleeping together right before his mother was arrested, he should be using it to help out his mother, not to bed the DA again. |
