The capital in all but name for numerous centuries, New Delhi was officially named the capital city in the early 1900s, with the British Government at the time believing it would be easier to administrate India from Delhi than Kolkata. A cosmopolitan city, New Delhi is considerably "well off" in comparison with most other Indian cities, although it does struggle with power outages like many other cities. Teams will arrive at the New Delhi Railway station, where they will receive their next clue outside a stand of lockers. CAUTION: ROADWORKS AHEAD. A Roadworks requires all teams to pick a task at random, and complete them before they can continue on the racecourse. The catch is that some tasks in the Roadworks may be more advantageous than others - a team may be lucky enough to pick this leg's Fast Forward clue, and this can be used so long as the team has not already gone for the clue or the Fast Forward has not been claimed as of yet during the leg. Furthermore, a team can choose to attempt to open a second locker IF they did not receive the Fast Forward in their first locker. If they locate the Fast Forward clue in their second locker, they can opt solely for the Fast Forward; if not, they must complete BOTH tasks before continuing. In this Roadworks, teams must open one of six marked lockers with their names on it in order to determine which task they must perform.
