owns as a person, not as a general. he was a barrel of laffs
HOWEVER he was also tons better as a general than, say, burnside or hooker. wv was a huge win for the union early on and he did it quickly. antietam was also a big victory for the union, even if it wasn't nearly as decisive as it could have been. mainly b/c it allowed for the release of the ep. so yeah even though he blew most people in the east were even worse |

Whenever the topic is the Clintons, there is nobody else who knows them better than Dick Morris. His insights and bitter rants are comedic gold.
But whenever I see him on tv talking acting all serious trying to get all wonky, it's hard to keep a straight face. I just can't help but LOL when I recall his prostitute scandals and calling Bubba at the White House in the middle of his toe sucking sessions. |

Dick Morris is a bitter scumbag but always a hilarious talk show guest. He eviscerated Alan Colmes last night, which isn't a hard thing to do, but it was
still random and hilarious.
Alan's comeback - "Have fun in anger management." Such a pathetic token. <3 |

I read a post that said that McCain is going back into Michigan. Is that true or just OT bullshit?

Etymology of the word MAVERICK
1867, "calf or yearling found without an owner's brand," in allusion to Samuel A. Maverick (1803-70), Texas cattle owner who was negligent in branding his calves. Sense of "individualist, unconventional person" is
first recorded 1886, via notion of "masterless."
"I've learned that opinions vary as to why he shunned the practice. He was reported to have said he
didn't want to be cruel to the animals. Neighbors of the time seemed to have had a different explanation.
Neighbors said he didn't brand his cattle so, when anyone saw any unmarked cattle roaming about, most would
declare it must have been one of Samuel's or, in other words, a Maverick, allowing him to lay claim to them".

I was so disappointed that she didn't attack more. The Dems are knee deep in Fannie Mae doodoo and Obama's energy policy is out of touch with what most Americans who don't accept money from environmental nutgroups believe. These were huge targets for her but her strategy was to look "bipartisan."She couldn't attack, VM. Attack would require a mechanism in place for something called thinking. There was nothing about thinking on the notecards. And if she did think, I shudder to ponder the consequences. |

I think the debate was a push. Both of them did what they needed to do, prop up their boss, down play the other guy, and not fuck up to badly. The problem to
use a foot ball analogy Palins team is behind and they handed her the ball, she did not gain any yards and now it is third and long. McCain is going to really
improve in the next debate or it is over.

I think it was 2nd and long and Palin made up a lot of ground to make it 3rd and short. She might not have won, but she held her own and didn't fumble. Now
McCain doesn't have to worry about her and can concentrate on Obama.

Absolutely. It is a relief to have the VP debate spectacle out of the way. Now this election will be distilled down to what it should be: McCain vs. Obama,
with the sideshow attaction put back in her box.
