I have now decided that Palin deliberately gave moronic and stupid answers in her Gibson and Couric interviews in order to seriously lower expectations going
into this debate.
As long as she didn't piss herself, she was bound to do better than people thought because she was such an empty shell in her only 2 televised interviews. It also allowed her to point the finger at the "mainstream media who edited me to look that way". She scares me to death and I have always thought Biden was a blowhard - he played her brilliantly tonight and I feel very secure in him being a heartbeat away, her? Not so much. YOU BETCHA!!!!!!!!! |

oh, and as he has at least 52 first cousins on one side and we were never able to work out of any town in ND that his mother, when she found out we were there,
didn't say that we had to go visit cousin/aunt/etc so-and-so who lives there, there's a good chance you within at least 3-4 degrees of being related to
him

And she says she is small business owner.. what is her business? Minding other people's business or changing gays? Is there a business in that because then I have obviously been employed for years changing straight men into gays. |

Jaysus....40 pages in one night. We are going to have to start a new thread next week at this rate.
Post debate poll found 85% thought Palin did better than expected, Biden 65% better than expected. I guess when both spend a week in debate camp, you can get those kind of numbers. Radio/TV huge difference. Listened to radio 1st half. Palin was doing sound bites. Biden sounded hoarse. With radio, you are forced to listen to what's being said. KInd of interesting it took Palin just as many times to address health care as it took Obama to finally answer lamely what he would cut if financial bailout did not work. When I got home and watched on the telly, I was struck by how tired Biden looked and the bags under his eyes. Later on he got a second wind and was smiling. You saw the Biden you saw on all those Sunday AM talk shows, the attack dog with the killer smile. Joe Biden won. Why not? Biden is like the older vastly more experienced big city NY Yankees, flush with history and cash. Palin was like the youthful more energetic less experienced small town Tampa Bay Rays. And everyone knows the Yankees always beats the Rays. |
