Didn't see a lot of that here about Biden did you? No, because he was actually on point and wasn't repeating what daddy McCain drilled (heh) into her at camp with a giggle and a "dontcha know". There is absolutely NOTHING OF SUBSTANCE to debate about her performance. She's a damn wind up doll with a kewpy smile and it should insult most Americans that McCain and members of his staff chose her and thought we would fall for it. If it doesn't insult you that they think that the average American is a fucking idiot and will slurp up their pablum with a smile and wink well then by all means get to slurping, but don't tell me that I am only making jabs at her because of her accent. |

Who is General McClellen? Palin referenced him. Did she mean George McClelland? He was a great, great American.

I'm surprised to see comments that she did well in the first half and got clobbered in the last half because I only watched the first half and it was like
watching baby seals against Eskimos. One of her strategies was to stress bipartisanship and so she passed up several openings to attack the Democrats, such as
for their role in this financial mess, when it was time to attack. She was so prepped to deliver mini speeches about energy and taxes that she didn't care
what the fuck the question was. At one point she was asked if she wanted to respond to Biden's answer about something and she launched into taxes, which
he hadn't talked about at all. He had this curious look on his face that I interpreted as, "what the fuck?"
Do you know who you are voting for yet, Murray?Yes, I'll be voting for that nice Mr. McCain. There are far more important issues at stake for our country than the mistake he made selecting this woman as his veep. Maybe they can convince her they need her to keep an eye on the Russian border and bring in Bloomberg to replace her on the ticket. |

I kept thinking she would be perfect for a job on QVC selling cosmetics or decorative commemorative plates or lovely cubic zirconium jewelry but there was
nothing even remotely presidential about her. One more nose wrinkle or one more wink at the camera and I thought I would scream.

I say she did better in the first round because her answers, which at least SOUNDED like answers, were coherent. I am really, truly trying to give her the
benefit of the doubt. And I did enjoy watching her debate, and not in some ironic, dismissive way.
Biden killed her in the second half in such a way that I hope that Obama watches this great performance and studies it. It was informative, non pretentious, clear, heartfelt and honest. Today, for the first time, I really love Joe Biden. |

McClellan, wasn't he the general who kept refusing to invade the Confederate States claiming he wasn't ready yet and was eventually removed as
commander of the union forces?
ETA: Penny, where in North Dakota? Mr CBR was born there too. |

Too bad ole Joe sounded like such a politician and that the Governor sounded like regular folk. Doesn't matter what they said, but how they said it. Or
so I'm told.
