This idea that McCain is at death's door is absurd. It isn't like FDR's illness which can be seen on composite photos and died barely a month after taking on his fourth term. And the American workforce is the greatest in this world, with the ingenuity and the work ethic that is just entrenched in our workforce. That's a positive. That's encouragement. And that's what John McCain meant. Now, what I've done as a governor and as a mayor is (inaudible) I've had that track record of reform. And I've joined this team that is a team of mavericks with John McCain, also, with his track record of reform, where we're known for putting partisan politics aside to just get the job done.

He did a much better job appearing knowlegeble and presidential than Obama did, and with the momentary welling up moment of grief managed to appear more human than I can ever recall seeing him. But I have one issue stuck in my craw, and I'm sure one of Sucks best can resolve it for me, and that's when Bidon was talking about helping out all those poor victims of those predatory lenders. WTF was he talking about reducing their principle in addition to the interest rate they're paying? How the fuck is that supposed to work? Correct me if I'm wrong but hasn't that money been spent? Somebody got it, I'm just postive. Maybe Bidon should go rip off the people that sold those obviously over priced homes in the first place and try to give the banks some poor piece of floatsom to hold onto in the midst of the roiling ocean their currently treading.

I can only hope that the rest of the undecided voters in this country could see through her haze of bullshit as well as you did. Biden kicked her ass by any measure. It is scary that there is apparently some non-negligible segment of this country that cannot see that.

Not who can get up there and spin the questions or make more jabs. It's about the actual issues. And in this entire thread - I've seen people talking about her accent, smiling, blinking, tina fey, maverick, etc. Do I understand where Biden stands on the issues? Yes - he has an extremely long Senate voting record. It's nothing he can hide from. Do I understand where Obama stands on the issues? Yes - I've seen his very short Senate voting record, read his website and listened to his commercials. Do I understand where McCAin stands? Yes - he also has a very long Senate voting record. One in which he has not always gone down the party line. Do I understand where Palin stands on the issues? Yes - I've read and watched as much as I could about her that had to do with the issues, not how she speaks or her pregnant daughter. At the end of the day - do I like any of them? Not really. They are all politicians. But - I have to choose who I think has the best plan, who aligns the most with my views on the issues. It's easy to get wrapped up in all the other stuff but at the end of the day it won't make my decision.
