Bob Schieffer is the only respected journalist left. I'd guess that he's probably a flaming lib, but I couldn't prove it to you. Perfect for
moderating debates. Can't really think of anyone else.

McCain pulls out of Michigan
John McCain is pulling out of Michigan, according to two Republicans, a stunning move a month away from Election Day that indicates the difficulty Republicans are having in finding blue states to put in play. ADVERTISEMENT McCain will go off TV in Michigan, stop dropping mail there and send most of his staff to more competitive states, including Wisconsin, Ohio and Florida. Wisconsin went for Kerry in 2004, Ohio and Florida for Bush. McCain's campaign didn't immediately respond to a request for comment. Republicans had been bullish on Michigan, hopeful that McCain's past success in the state in the 2000 primary combined with voter dissatisfaction with Democratic Gov. Jennifer Granholm and skepticism among blue-collar voters about Barack Obama could make it competitive. McCain and his running mate Sarah Palin spent the night after the GOP convention at a large rally in Macomb County, just outside Detroit. The two returned later last month for another sizable event in Grand Rapids. But recent polls there have shown Obama extending what had been a small lead, with the economic crisis damaging an already sagging GOP brand in a state whose economy is in tatters. A McCain event planned for next week in Plymouth, Michigan, has been canceled. http://news.yahoo.com/s/p...0081002/pl_p...2895 |

I heard Palin wants to execute gays. She's got my vote locked up. Her heroe of course is Reagan, who injected AIDs into some Canadian flight attendant back
in the 80s to start the best plague evah!

In this case, it needs to be stated that we're talking about individual rights, since all others are built upon those rights (e.g., there is no such thing as "rights of groups" only the rights of individuals to agree and work together.) Paying for protection of rights is something that can be done thru voluntary means. One way to raise money is thru lottery tickets, but the way I see the most money being raised is thru insurance, which would be purchased to protect default on contracts. Contract insurance would provide money to pay for all proper government services. Now, if people want to start charities to just hand out services to their choice of "unfortunate," that is their choice. What we need to get rid of from civilized human transactions is the use of coercion, which means: we need to get rid of the system of tax to pay for things like police, courts, armed forces - things that most of us value and want. |

But, at the same time, you would not force your view on others, and would support the Pro-Choice platform, even though you personally would not seek an abortion under any circumstances. |

McCain withdraws from Palin
John McCain is pulling out of Sarah Palin, according to two Republicans, a stunning move a month away from Election Day that indicates the difficulty Republicans are having in finding hot chicks. McCain will go off Palin in Michigan, stop dropping suppositories there and send most of his penis to more competitive states, including Lieberman, Biden and Florida. McCain and his running mate Sarah Palin spent the night fucking after the GOP convention at a large rally in Macomb County, just outside Detroit. The two returned later last month for another sizable orgy in Grand Rapids. But recent polls there have shown Obama extending what had been a small penis, with the economic crisis damaging an already sagging GOP brand in a pussy whose economy is in tatters. A McCain pregnancy planned for next week in Plymouth, Michigan, has been canceled. |

Vic, here's another thing. If you truly are against abortion, then you should support the Pro-Choice movement for another reason. As you may know, in China
they have a one-child policy. This means a couple who conceive a second child are forced to get an abortion.
As soon as you agree to using force to make other people behave in a manner you approve of, you open the door to things being done to you against your personal beliefs. Being Pro-Choice is pro-individual rights. It does not mean that anyone is demanding that you get an abortion for yourself, your wife, your girlfriend or your daughter. It's about making a stand against coercion by the State. |

THU, 02 OCTOBER 2008 AT 10:46 AM
David Letterman poked fun atRepublican vice presidential candidateSarah Palin during Wendesday night's episode of The Late Show With David Letterman. (Last week, he bashed presidential hopeful John McCain for skipping his show.) Last night, the 61-year-old late night talk show host rattled off the "Top Ten Things Overheard at Sarah Palin's Debate Camp". Of course, the audience reaction was huge. Check them out for yourself: 10 - "Let's practice your bewildered silence"
