I ain't retiring next month, but believe it or not I actually give a fuck about this country's Baby Boomers -- at least ones like my parents who are very close to retiring (actually only still working long enough so that they can get on Medicare since I doubt my dad would even be able to get a health insurance company to cover him if he quit or lost his job because of his past heart problems) and have played by the rules their whole lives in living within their means, saving their money, not buying a house or anything else more than they can afford -- and now they could see a big chunk of their savings for retirement evaporate through no fault of their own but simply for doing what economic and political leaders told them was the right thing to do to protect themselves.

I give a fuck about them even though it was Baby Boomers like my parents who voted for Bush like so many Baby Boomers out of greed and selfishness solely because they stupidly believed the promises of the Bush tax cuts from Bush and Republicans like him who claimed they could give everyone everything under the sun and finance it with debt instead of taxes and finance it with credit instead of cash, which has got us in this financial and political mess.
