I'm enjoying this season so far. I am glad the racers are concentrating on the race except Natalie (Ding Dong the whiner is gone!) even Mai wasn't
overly dramatic. Nice there are no camera hogging...so far. They all have learned from Revoltingson's example of what NOT to do.

In regards to Niroo and Kapil, I would argue from what I know that it is at least a little bit of racism. With the exception of Malaysia (there are lots of
Indians there) the rest of the Asian continent generally looks at Indians as stereotypically unfriendly, conniving, and difficult to get along with. It looked
to me the only team that was willing to work with him was Ida and Tania, and even she said she was going to help him once she figured out the right answer. It
seems more to be miscommunication on that part. However, overall, the actions of the other teams does not wholly surprise me.
I still think this is turning out to be the best Amazing Race Asia Season, if not one of the best Amazing Race seasons overall. All it needs I think is a little more character development, but the tasks, locales, and overall difficult of this race is something that we have not seen in the American season since maybe Season 4 or 5. It's brutally nonstop. I also think it was incredibly sadistic to make teams travel by bus to Hue. The train ride is about the same duration (in time) as the bus ride, however, the train is much much much more comfortable than any local bus (the tourist buses in Vietnam are quite comfortable, but that is not what they were travelling on) ride. Even 2nd Class No Air-Con Seat on the trains is not that bad as the trains are in decent shape. |

I must say, after seeing the episode, this really is turning into the most demanding race ever. Leg after leg of extremes...
I kinda take back what I said about Natalie. I find her complaining odd because she just sorta says it normally, and never cries or schreeches or anything. Her quitting was not that bad because they were already so far behind, and she seemed in high spirits the rest of the leg. She even peddled the bike after Pailin got injured. And speaking of which, those crashes looked intense. I love how Natalie laughed at first, and then changed her tone once she looked back and saw Pailin on the ground (so odd how good of a mood she seemed to be in at the time). Normally people at the end of their wits would have screeched after the crash. Henry and Bernie's crash was something else, too. Her scream and hard fall were priceless, and they still pulled off first place... again. I love them, they're very comptetent, intense, and funny (some of the lines they say). They are my favorite team along with Ida/Tania. |

littltimmy wrote:I think Natalie is sweet but I'm annoyed at how spoiled she is and that she didn't come mentally prepared for this race. She didn't even tough it out for her friend and that's what sucks. Pailin was very patient with her and could've reacted much more angry or blame her but she didn't do that so I have a lot of respect for Pailin. She was very classy about it all |

Damn! Why, Pailin?! Why didn't you go for the Roadblock instead?! If you had, I'm at least ninety-percent certain that you'd have had
fewer problems with it and finished it faster without the penalty, and we could've seen the back of whiny-ass Niroo and his bully of a son, Kapil!
Henry & Bernie are fine with me, but I hope they don't take every single leg from here on out. They'll make the season as boring as Rovilson & Marc made last season if they do. Vince & Sam . . . they're okay, but nothing really special. I'd thought having no Isaac & William to meld together with would help me get a better feel of their personalities, but . . . no good. Not quite yet. But the season's still young. There's still time. Ida & Tania . . . oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Totally my favorite team in the race. They're so used to the high life, yet they're willing to get down and dirty to get through the race. I really enjoy watching them and still hope they get really far. I'm even more sure A.D. & Fuzzie lack the sense of urgency needed to do well in the race. They just walked and ambled about so damn much on this leg. It's a miracle they didn't get passed up too many times! Geoff & Tisha? I adore her, but he pisses me off. Nothing more to be said here. Mai & Oliver? They're at their most tolerable whenever they're at the back of the pack. Niroo & Kapil? Please. Go. Home. Is it any wonder I've disliked or hated all the father/son teams this show's produced? These two are easily the weakest team left of the F7 teams. All in all, good episode. Hope next week continues to deliver the goods! |

Cole wrote: I still like Niroo and Kapil although Niroo was really whiny. I don't think the BQs could do well even if they got past this round because Natalie is so dang useless. So I'm alright with their leaving. Even if Pailin took this roadblock, Natalie would eventually have to do them. If they can't even come in 2nd to last or better with these many teams they'd probably not be able to do it like a final 4 situation |

Exactly. ------------- I really, really hope Henry and Bernie would be this season's Azaria & Hendekea. Please don't dominate. Thanks. If this string of great episodes continues, this is how my TAR ranking would look like... 1. TAR12 2. TAR5 3. TARA3 4. TAR3 5. TAR10 --- The rest... |

#1 - Ida & Tania - They're so goofy but a surprisingly strong team. They have a fun spirit and a positive attitude. 1 of them reminds me of Aurelia
too for some reason
#2 - Vince & Sam - They seem goofy too and seem like a strong team despite that questionable 1st leg. They seem nice but competitive #3 - Henry & Bernie - The alpha team of the season. They are really strong and are dominating but I don't dislike them just because they seem like great people. Their sibling dynamic is also interesting at times with the breakdowns so they're providing great entertainment too #4 - AD & Fuzzie - They're the underdogs and they shocked me in the 2nd leg and even this one. Still I don't know if they can win. If they do that'd be crazy #5 - Mai & Oliver - They annoyed me at first but now they're becoming endearing. They're underdogs more and Mai being an heiress is interesting. She's spoiled but she doesn't totally piss me off anymore. I did not like Oliver's personality that much but he is doing most of the work so I can give him that #6 - Niroo & Kapil - They fell down a lot for me. I didn't mind them getting on the drivers' cases too much but I didn't really like the father demanding his competitiors to help him. I still like them though because they seem nice at heart and have a good spirit. I also have a spot soft for the elderly so they're an underdog team. The only reason why they are at #6 is because I've found myself to really like the racers this season which is saying a lot #7 - Geoff & Tisha - Even though they're last I like them too. Geoff is annoying as heck and definitely the guy I'm rooting against. Tisha is hot though so I want them to stick around. It's a weird mixed feeling which is what makes this season enjoyable to watch for me. Sort of like Andy & Laura from TARA1 where they were "villains" yet brought such great entertainment. I think Tisha called Ida & Tania bitches at 1 point right after those girls said she was sweet so that officially killed them on my list and made them the team to love to hate for me this season |

I think Geoff and Tisha are much easier to appreciate because Geoff makes a much more effective villain than say, the moms from last season, where so many
teams hated them and we never quite saw why (they were my favorite team, though).
And about the Natalie comments, I still feel bad for Pailin being stuck with a partner like that, but Natalie's behaviour was not nearly as terrible as I thought it was going to be. |

Then she quit in the historical challenge and wasn't able to even complete it after going back to re-look at the answers. Plus the Hong Kong boys left their answers lying around. Talk about screwing over your partner over |

FWIW, i STILL don't get the hatred for the moms last season. All that was really shown in confessionals from the other teams were that the moms weren't
in chit chatty mode with them during the race. The prods needed a villain, but they really had none. (I'm not going down the camera hogging route again,
cause somehow they are actually portrayed as heroes elsewhere).
