I'm amazed this show is still on. I'm curious to see how they will portray Doomsday. There is also supposed to be a new female villian introduced next
season.

That blurb made my day. Without the character of Chloe, I'd have gone back to watching Survivor.
Now, as far as storylines go, she needs to tell Jimmy a big fat "Hell, no." Otherwise, there will be an obligatory off screen divorce after the series goes off the air. |

I knew it, Kristen Kreuk (Lana)
will be back next season. I actually like the Lana character, but they've killed/gotten rid of her so many times only to have her return, I'm sick of
it. Just kill her for good. She's not supposed to be part of Clark's adult life anyway!

If this is the final year; it may go out swinging.
At Comicon; when asked about their "No Tights, No Flights" edict... They said there would still be no tights. |

Yay for the eye candy show. My wife's excited too, as she's got a big Tom Welling crush. (Which is fine, as I get her back on Friday's with my
Ghost Whisperer Love Hewitt crushin'.)

So that kinda rocked. I don't get the gals who are looking for Lex though? And just how cweepy was it that Welling is starting to/being made to look a
LOT like Reeves at the end of this episode, right when he told Lana about his new job.

Wow, the people playing Green Arrow, Black Canary and Aquaman really cannot act, can they?

They aren't supposed to be able to act. They're on Smallville, after all. And any non-main character is meant to look pretty and speak only in
simple, short sentences.

That Black Canary chick should always wear the black wig.

Justice League Villian? | ||
|
The end of tonight's episode seems to point that the new Luthorcorp chick is starting the corale the Justice League villians, or am I alone on that one?
If so, which villian is the girl supposed to be?

Why do I like Oliver Queen better than Clark Kent? I do like how they've 'CWed' Green Arrow to make him a character who would not be out of place
on Gossip Girl

I guess new girl being a regular ties into why Green Arrow is now a regular. Not a fan of either, really.
That chick getting shot in the head was, perhaps, the most violence I've seen on this show (considering the rest is generally "comic-book violence"). Kinda shocked they went there. But pleased to see a nod to the Clark and Lois of the future, when Clark sat down with his coffee, Lois grabs it with a "thanks, Smallville", and Clark just sits there befuddled before deciding not to fight her on it. |

Love Ollie being a reg. Tying him to Tess makes sense and adds to both. Seeing his origin on the show was great too (even though I knew it well). Tess taking
out the guy at the end of the ep was COLD and awesome.

Perhaps because I'm a recent viewer trying to come back (I regularly watched seasons 1-2), I hate to say that I keep getting the actresses who play Tess
and Lois mixed up. I think I'm losing it, for ten minutes I actually thought it was Lois kidnapped on the island.
Superman and Green Arrow don't have a strong bond in the comic books, so its a little weird he'd be a regular character. But I guess it would be too overpowering to have a Batman, too technologically impossible to have a Green Lantern, and too ludicrous to have Aquaman regularly included. Next episode:
OriginMaxima once ruled a vast intergalactic empire based on the planet Almerac. She became obsessed with expanding her galactic reach and, most importantly, securing a suitable mate to father an heir for her glorious realm. When her minions intercepted a subspace transmission detailing Superman's astonishing feats in the gladiatorial games of Mongul's Warworld, Maxima was sure she had found her man. Without further delay, she resolved to make the Man of Steel her husband. Superman respectfully declined to marry her, her admiration turned to rage, and she became his enemy. As time passed, however her fury abated and Maxima sided with Superman to repel Brainiac's intergalactic invasion of Earth. Maxima was later banished from Almerac and elected to remain on Earth, where she was a respected member of Justice League for a while. Ultimately, her own superiority complex and lingering resentment over Superman's rejection of her led Maxima back to villainy and a partnership with the so-called Superman Revenge Squad. Fickle as she was, Maxima never ever backed down from a fight. After the world-destroying Imperiex destroyed Almerac, Maxima gave her own life so that
Earth, her adopted home, would not suffer the same terrible fate.
Height: 6'2" Weight: 164 lbs. Eyes: Brown Hair: Red Powers:Maxima possesses immense psionic powers which she can utilize in a variety of ways. She can communicate with other beings telepathically, place other people
under her hypnotic control or paralyze them temporarily with her gaze, and project illusions into the minds of others. Maxima can use her psionic powers to
give herself superhuman strength, stamina, and durability, as well as some degree of super-speed. By applying her telekinesis as a means for propulsion, Maxima
is able to "fly" and maneuver herself, other beings, or objects through the air at escape velocity. In one instance where she was drained from a
previous encounter with Starbreaker, Maxima closed numerous fissures on her homeworld by re-shifting continental plates together telekinetically. Given proper
coordinates, Maxima also has the ability to teleport herself or others in and out of a battle over interstellar distances.
Maxima can project powerful bolts of energy from her eyes. She can psionically cause metal to melt and can rearrange the molecules of her own clothing to replicate any kind of attire she wishes. Maxima can generate and surround herself with a force-field bubble, which enables her to survive underwater or in outer space. She can also mentally suspend her own life functions temporarily. Maxima uses a simulacrum of herself that possesses powers similar to her to act in situations when she cannot be present. Joined the Justice League America No. 63 and died in Man of Steel No. 117.

Supes and GA are relatively close as they are both long standing members of the Justice League. He's closer to Bruce and Diana sure but it's not much of a stretch to have Ollie there especially since his rich boy ties link him to Luther nicely. |
