I've seen other goose pots from time to time in Homegoods, but usually they've had a chip or some other defect. This one got by quality control. I got it for $149.99. Red, no chips. It takes me forever in that place to examine everything, but if you're faithful you can get some kick ass deals.

Sheesh - stop fighting and give me some info! eta: dammit, I missed a whole page again - I see the price though. Thanks, Trix. The Le Creuset is better than the other brands because of the number of layers of enamel that are baked on to the cast iron. Most of the other pots are made in China, the cast iron is thinner, they only have one or two layers of enamel and I'd be afraid that the paint might have lead in it - just like all those baby toys from China.
