In response to Dick saying the jury tampering thing was unfair, one reason that's crap is that deciding to take a juror on the trip was an extremely risky move. It has the potential to backfire in a huge and bloody way. I think there's a good chance it pissed off other jurors and may not have swayed Michelle at all. Dan had to do last minute damage control with Keesha about it that may not have worked if he hadn't spent the last 24 hours before that working her.

Given Dan's DR at the time, he knew it was risky. Being Dan, he went for the big play. If Keesha had won that, she'd probably have taken Renny and it would have been a wash. Total social instead of game playing move. I have no idea what Jerry might have done with that reward. Memphis might have chosen a jury member, too, but he might not have lied about it to the other remaining houseguests. He might have just decided to take a current houseguest.

The bottom line is, it was a chance to make a move, not a hand-out or a promise of a vote. Nothing near the kind of help that Dick had in the game. I'd say it's on par with a HG getting to come back after being voted out.
