Tomlin's the new executive producer not writer. He's replacing Ed Scott. He did bring in a co-head writer for Dena Higley.
So far Roscoe Born (Trent), Kristen Renton (Morgan) & Linden Ashby (Paul) have been let go. There is rumored to be more exits. My guesses for who will be fired: Lauren Koslow (Kate): She only signed a one year contract and it expires soon. Plus with this upcoming illness storyline it's probably a sure bet that Kate is a goner. Then we have rumors of the younger cast getting the boots as well. I think we'll likely see the end of Stax unless Corday vetos it. I think both Max & Stephanie will be gone or they'll keep Darin Brooks (Max) and fire Shelly Hennig (Stephanie). Rachel Melvin (Chelsea) is probably safe. Blake Berris (Nick) is probably safe since they seem to be going the root of a Chelsea/Nick/Melanie triangle. Nadia Bjorlin (Chloe) could also be axed. Rumors are that Dena Higley can't stand Nadia but Ken loves her. She could be safe just because they seem to be going towards a Philip/Chloe/Lucas triangle.

I feel bad about ppl losing their jobs, but a lot of the extraneous characters do need to go and they should concentrate on the core characters. I do kind of hope Chloe is one of them b/c imo she brings nothing to the story and wtf with another damn triangle? They need to break up Stax and keep Dansea broke up; forget love triangles and start writing for characters and not plots. That would make Days almost bearable to watch again. |

I do love Chloe but the writing for her has been awful. I wish we could have the bitchy diva Chloe that returned to make Belle's life a hell.

I like Nick as well. I hope he tells Chelsea to get lost if she wants him back.
And I'm not all that upset if Lauren goes. I've never cared for her as Kate. I always liked Deb Adair's version of Kate much more. |

I hope she's the one who's getting the ax. Personally, they can get rid of most of the young actors, but they'll have to keep Max around since they have his new sister on the scene. I like Melanie and I think they should keep her and get rid of Stephanie. While they're at it, how about getting rid of Steve and Kayla too. Their return was a huge disappointment (not their fault, but the writers) and it sort of tarnishes the memory of when they were a great couple on the show. Also, I don't want to see Nadia go yet. This new storyline of hooking up with Lucas (which makes HIM more interesting) and her budding friendship with Nicole has been a nice twist to otherwise very shitty writing on the show. |

hell out of town b/c she found out her brother fucks his niece and doing family members doesn't seem to be an issue with him." Daniel looks older
than Kate so him with Chelsea just makes me itch, and not in a good way.
Sami is getting on my last nerve. I'm tired of her constant bitching at EJ. I do love Nicole's snarky remarks to her, she's usually spot on. And then today when she showed up at the cabin and flipped her shit b/c no one was in the room with Ali. Babies usually are left in a room by themselves to go to sleep. Besides, how many times do we see Sami with those kids? thrilljill, I was also thinking maybe it's time for Steve and Kayla to go. I feel really disloyal b/c I loved them so much back in the day and was so excited when they came back, but the writers totally screwed them over. They could have started out with a great s/l about helping Nick/Steve find his past/get his memory back two years ago. Instead he hung around Billie then his memory comes back in a rush? Lame. Since then they really haven't had much to do except the stupid Ava kidnapping. I get more feeling for them watching old YouTube clips. ohmigod they were so hot then. Now not so much. |

What Days needs is a good serial killer storyline. Kill off about half of the shitfest of a cast they currently have. Only this time don't fuck it up by
having everybody who was killed actually be alive on some island somewhere. I vote for Stax as the first victims.
Too bad this is Days where you can be decapitated, harvested for organs, cremated and come back as a ghost, but still be alive in one of Stephano's many holding chambers... |

So true Widdi. I was so excited when people in Salem were dropping like flies. How original to kill off the entire cast! Who was doing it? Who was going to
be next? Who will replace these people we've known for years? Then we find out they weren't killed after all, that they're on some lame island
made up to look exactly like Salem. The whole thing was so stupid I quit watching for a while. However I came back during the Stan saga. I don't really
know why I'm watching now, except for the chance to ogle EJ and Phillip.
