FYI - the US Government sent some wonks to San Diego to speak to us Math and Science teachers. They told us that if we do not get kids interested in Math and
Science they fear China will have th advantage on us in the fields that WE, the USA, use to have control over.
So, let's keep tossing $$$$$$ at shit like Iraq welfare for business (ADM for example). This country is in trouble: Our choice is between a Junior Sen from Chicago with a VP who is so deep up Washingtons ass he breath smells like shit VS a man so old he is in pain from too tight of grip during a hand shake and will probably die leaving us with a religious zelot beauty queen who had less than 2 years in as governor of a state with 3 fucking electoral votes! (Rhode Island has 4 and I can't find a state with less than 3) |

Sadly, I have sent my kids to a private religious school because even though they spend maybe a half hour a day learning about a deity that I don't believe exists, they still get a far superior education in their religious school than in public school. |

you can also blame teaching to the test, the all powerful teacher's union which refuses to allow testing for competancy of teachers, and at the HS level,
schools spending more on sport coaches than teachers salaries
