God I hate it when people refer to those kids as victims.
I've raised two pretty fantastic adults and worked with kids of all ages my whole working life, from the criticially ill, to "special needs" with physical and/or behavioural and emotional issues, to your regular every day kid.
Sadly, I've seen some fucked up kids in my time, and the Gosselin children don't even come close.
They're pretty damn happy and well adjusted, if you ask me.
And they LOVE their parents. They are NOT victims.
My only concern would be for all of the exposure they are getting, but for the time being they are handling it quite well. It doesn't appear to phase them.
And this show will not go on forever. IN fact, I'm pretty sure that it will quite naturally come to an end sooner rather than later.
By the time the kids enter school full time, I'd imagine they'll decide to say good bye to the cameras for anything other than the occasional update ( Look for The Gosselin 6 Learn to Drive! ).

I've also slept with the same guy for 30 years, and I can tell all you hatahs out there, that as far as Jon and Kate's relationship goes...they're doing JUST fine, too.
I see a lot of love, warmth, and humour, particularly in their confessionals. It might not come across to everyone...particularly for those who've never had a long term relationship, but, those two really GET each other.
And they obviously have the same goals, which is HUGE in a lasting relationship.

So they snap sometimes and say the wrong thing now and again. Who doesn't?
We ALL say regrettable stuff to our partners and our kids in the heat of the moment, that we wouldn't otherwise say if we were thinking clearly.
Unfortunately some of Jon and Kate's moments just happen to be caught on camera. They have no illusions about how that sometimes comes across to the public. They actually reference it in their intro.
I tell ya, I know I'd personally handle it with a lot less aplomb than they do.

I think they are quite the amazing family. Seriously.
