And it may not apply to the old warhorses (a la Sherry Lansing), but younger executives in movie studios dress VERY casually. It is not the same as a law office or a high-finance office or even a talent agency where style and fashion is much more traditional. Looking hip and young is WAY important to Hollywood people. In that sense, Blayne's is no more off-the-mark than most of the others. Slap the word "Prada" on Blayne's Bermuda shorts somewhere, and they would probably sell to dozens of female studio execs... Of course, New York is much more dressy than L.A., so I guess that makes a difference... However, that was always a big problem I had with "Lipstick Jungle" to begin with -- WTF is a studio head doing living in New York? It simply DOES NOT HAPPEN (unless you count a mini/boutique studio a la the old Miramax with the Weinsteins at the helm).

Plumbers and garbage men are over-dressed and way too hot, too. So I guess it's not different than much else we see.

Based on some of the packages and budgets they have discussed on the show, I think her studio is meant to be a major one.
