I remember Carter crying on Dr. Benton's shoulder out in the street because he was such a fuckup. Good times. Mark dying sucked because you knew that whole season that he was going to eventually die. It was a long, slow, painful slide to the end.

They really really sucked at writing emotional goodbyes. I hated the Mark Greene death because it managed to turn Alex Kingston into a miserable character and she had been so awesome before. Overall ER is sort of a dreary show and I can't believe I watched it as long as I did. The funny thing is that no one even realizes that he is missing.

I cried real teers at this epi, which come to think of it was probably the last full episode of the show I watched since IIRC not that long after that dork from Fame got his arm sliced by a helicopter and I decided nothing could top that.
