Remember?
Why is Jeff Karstens a major league pitcher?

lol I knew that was coming. If I'm not mistaken, Karstens will make his next start at Shea.
Considering Santana is pitching tomorrow, Mets have an excellent opportunity to sweep this series if they win tonight. How about Pedro having an above average start for a change and pitching 6 or 7 solid innings against one of the worst lineups in MLB? I don't think that's asking a lot. |

You forget the Mets' ability to make bad teams look like the '27 Yankees.

The best thing about tonight's win over the Marlins?
It's over in time for me to watch an all new, on a new night, at a new time, episode of Man vs. Wild. |

Not as exciting of a day at Wrigley today compared to Monday night, but those 8 runs in the third sure were nice. I've now seen half of Mark DeRosa's
four Grand Slams. And Soriano is back for sure. Backe received a nice ovation when he finally was taken out by Cooper. Hope he pitches in each of the last two
series the Cubs have against the Astros.
Season record so far: 19-7. Next game is Saturday against them nasty Cardinals. |

Brian Giles was put on waivers and the Mets didn't claim him? Makes sense. I mean it's not like the Mets need a corner OFer or anything. Hell, who
needs Giles when you have Chavez, Nick Evans, and Marlon Anderson.

He was too busy batting cleanup against the Mets. He hit a homerun in game 1 and a futile squibbler to 3rd last night that Wright misplayed.
I think if a team tries to claim someone, they have to work out a trade. If a player clears waivers, the team can still pull him back. But if he clears waivers a second time, they can't pull him off and he's free for anyone to snap up. |
