Mark and Courtney - Viennese Waltz - I thought this was good but not great. Mark's rise and fall may have been better than others we've had so far, but I don't think the waltzes this year have been that good. I actually thought Mark overexagerrated it a bit. On a few of the lifts, I felt Courtney's legs went out of control. Overall, the dance benefited from the fact that these are the two most sincere dancers on the show. I don't think this was the most sincere either of them have been, but the romance still came across more winningly than we've seen in many ballroom styles we've seen this year. Courtney's "boob" thing in the intro thing made me laugh. Hopefully, that got her some extra votes…

Chelsie - Solo - Good choice of song. Good choice of costume. Chelsie was smart to play up the sex appeal - it distracts from the boringness of her style in a solo. Still, I didn't think it was danced amazingly. A bit sloppy...

Twitch - Solo - I appreciate that he gave us a different character, and I'm really grateful he brought us that great Kat moment with the grill. It was a'ight.

Josh and Katee - Contemporary - This was definitely Tyce's best routine of the season, and one of the best overall, as well. Josh showed more grace than I ever would have thought possible. That leap! He looked like a specialist in contemporary! Katee was strong and fearless. The routine was bold and ambitious, and they both executed it extremely well. More importantly, they conveyed the FEELING!

Twitch and Chelsie - Mambo - Unlike the judges, I found myself watching Twitch more than Chelsie. Granted, that was more for the trainwreck factor of expecting him to screw it up monumentally! I was pleasantly surprised. He was far from great, but he pulled it off better than I would have expected, and better than Will pulled off any of HIS Latin dances. It makes me feel that America got it right last week… Chelsie, I guess, was great - after all, that's what they tell me to think - but again, there was a lot of sloppiness. Perhaps that was his fault, but it spilled over onto her as well.

Katee - Solo - This girl desperately needs a choreographer! She just has no idea what to do in a solo. I think she was smart to do something more up-tempo and not so boringly lyrical, but what she did to the faster music was hopelessly blah! Three lame solos in a row… This girl is hella lucky she was never bottom three in the first five weeks, because solos like these could have gotten her sent home!

Joshua - Solo - He is SO amazing at incorporating the music into his dance organically. It was a veritable best-of-hip-hop in 30 seconds with a few contemporary elements thrown in for good measure. Even in his solo, he shows versatility. Well done!

Mark and Courtney - Jazz - To give extremely high praise, this looked to me like a Wade Robson number. And Mark absolutely KILLED here. He was perfection from the tip of his nose to the tip of his toes. I felt bad for Courtney, because there was no way she was going to measure up. She was good, and next to any other guy this season in the same number, she probably would have looked great. Next to Mark, though, she looked slightly inadequate. It's hard to give specific criticism, but it was just like her energy didn't go all the way through her fingers and toes. That tiny thing made all the difference…

Joshua and Katee - Paso Doble - I wish that the choreography had been a bit more traditional, as I've been waiting to see a really well-done Paso with all of the percussive stomps and such. For what it was, though, it was very well done, and Josh was extremely impressive with his footwork, in particular. It's interesting that he's been awesome in every Latin dance he's done EXCEPT for last week when he was with Latin specialist Chelsie. I don't know if it's that she outshone him or if she isn't a great partner. I'm guessing it's more simply that the two of them just happen to lack any chemistry whatsoever… Katee did a fantastic job embodying a cape with the fluidity of her movement. Gorgeous. Unfortunately, as a cape, she was more of a prop in Joshua's lead performance.

Courtney - Solo - This was, yet again, by far the best solo from the women. I just wish that Courtney was less generic. I think that she's really likeable and really good. In fact, she almost makes it look too easy. If she was more distinctive, I think she could be a frontrunner, and pull ahead of Katee and/or Chelsie.

Mark - Solo - After the jazz, his solo was almost too mellow - almost lazy. Still, he won me over yet again with his personality while Kat gave the numbers. He sparkles and is just SO funny and winning!

Twitch and Chelsie - Hip Hop - This was more of an acting challenge than a dance challenge, and I think that Twitch out-ACTED Chelsie. Still, she was better than usual. When she is given a very specific character by the choreographer, she pulls it off. Unfortunately, she doesn't create one on her own when the choreographers don't give it to her, so she often comes off anonymous and blank (sadly, a typical trait in ballroom dancing).

I like all the dancers at this point, but I really hope that Twitch and Chelsie go home tomorrow - Twitch, because he's not as good as the other two, and Chelsie, simply because I don't want poor Joshua to be stuck with her again. She's his kryptonite.

I had a hard time choosing between Josh and Mark as to whom I should vote for. I chose Joshua. I got a lot of votes in, but I also got a lot of busy signals. I'm not sure how common the busy signals are, as this is my first night voting this season, but I hope this is a good sign. I also hope that while I was voting for Josh, others were voting for Mark…
