List updated...nice job guys! The only one left that I know is #29--when you have a large poster of it on your wall, it's definitely easier to tell. But
I'll let you guys know that it's two people kissing on a street corner, seen through a coffee shop/restaurant window.
sierra hotel -- It's funny, up until now, I had never checked to find out what these pictures were. For some reason, I had always thought #46 was Treasure of the Sierra Madre...but after checking a YouTube clip online and reminding myself of the ending, I now realize I was totally wrong. So #46 very well could be The Magnificent Seven...but I, personally, have no idea. BTW, can anyone confirm that #2 is Ordinary People? |

Backup guesses: 29, 34, and 37 are all The Hottie and the Nottie.

#29 is Annie Hall, yep!
#34 looks like it could be From Here to Eternity, based on the ending I read in Wikipedia's plot summary of the movie. However, does anyone have a more reliable confirmation? Also, still waiting on #37, and a confirmation for #46. |

I definitely think #34 is From Here to Eternity. Google to the rescue as always :)
Here's the movie poster:
Here's Deborah Kerr with Burt Lancaster in a publicity shot for the movie:

Is 37 the ending of The Magnificent Ambersons?

Thank you for the pics, she! I think that pretty much confirms it--with the blown up picture, it kind of looks like they're on a boat, and the hair styles
are almost identical to those picture.
Emma Peel -- I think I found the ending of The Magnificent Ambersons here on YouTube...I have no idea if this actually is the ending, but it seems like it could be, and it's definitely not #37. Do you know if this was the last scene of the movie? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9DFpfNFvnfM |

I don't know if it's worth considering famous actors and directors, because some actors have made multiple appearances. (Peter Sellers, Paul Newman,
etc.)
I think these are all supposed to be really famous, classic endings...every movie mentioned so far has been partially made famous for their ending. After all, "Being There" and "The Great Escape" are not especially famous movies anymore, but their endings are classic. So, what's a classic movie that ends with a man in a suit walking away toward the entrance of a fancy looking building, his back facing the camera and hands in his pockets? Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, perhaps? (that's a movie I haven't seen...) edit: Just checked, and no to Mr. Smith Goes to Washington.

Hell, I can barely even make it out. Maybe if I had a magnifying glass or something.
