I was trying to remember last year at F6 when they revealed that Pasha and Lauren were the bottom two, that they sent the audience home and created a...............

LOCKDOWN SITUATION!!!! ZOMG!11!1!!

Why did they do that again? Why was the results show not live like normal? I have totally forgotten.

Seaguy,

They wanted to make sure that the Final 4 had optimal time to practice, so they did the results show earlier in the day? Or something?

Bleeding Love is the only memorable dance this season.

I definitely think it is the MOST memorable...But I think that "Alone", "No Air" and the Will/Katee Ballet number stand out. And the Bollywood number stands out in my mind as pretty banging.

I think I started to dislike Will as soon as it was made known in the Las Vegas he was Debbie Allen's protege. That seems like such an unfair advantage even though she oh so graciously ::rolls eyes:: decided to stay out of judging as long as he was in the competition. As if the judges would dare say a bad thing about him because that would basically insult her. It make me sick to watch some of the ass kissing of choreographers by the judges. i.e. Mia the "reigning queen" of contemporary--barf barf barf

Okay, being paired with Jessica certainly didn't help, but, yes, Will didn't really hold up his end of gaining a fanbase either.

The way they set up the show now, Josh/Katee and Mark/Chelsie leapt way out front early on with their fanbases amassing weekly. When it went individual, those 4 had a huge advantage over the other 6. Nothing's changed. Dancing/Pimping notwithstanding.

They all seem to have famous dancer connections though. Apparently, Katee worked with Mia Michaels before she ever got on the show. Also, during one of her segments, Chelsie said she was lucky enough to learn from "some of the best of the world in ballroom dancing," so she's probably learned from some famous dancers too. Thirdly, Twitch and Katee apparently already knew each other before the show, so Twitch probably has worked with some famous dancers too. Twitch was also already in the feature film Hairspray and apparently has choreographed some music videos in Asia. I don't know the story behind every dancer in the show, but it seems like most of the dancers aren't really "amateurs."

Then how do you explain Mark being in the bottom 2 last week, Scree? I do think those two couples had an advantage of developing fanbases early but Mark still ended up in the bottom 2. I think it was the dancing because he had a really bad week.

Thanks so much Pinot Envy! I loved the Josh clips. I like the same Trifecta you do. Watching all of them, I think I've decided who I will vote for next week.

I may be in the minority, but I don't think that the favoritism towards Will had anything to do with Debbie Allen. Yeah, they were probably aware of Will before the auditions because of his Debbie connection. But then, they have probably been aware of a LOT of these dancers prior to the auditions. The world of dance is miniscule, and I imagine that it is the exception rather than the rule for them to "discover" anybody they didn't know who is at the level to make the top 24. Maybe street dancers, but not contemporary or ballroom. I think they probably came into the competition already loving Will's work (which, was probably much better than his work on the show because it was probably all in his style and required less one-on-one partnering), and those feelings carried over.

I just don't think that Debbie is THAT important to this show. She judged a few times in one season. She's never even choreographed. It's not like Will is Mia's or Mary's or Dan Karaty's or even Wade Robson or Shane Sparks' protegee. Those guys have much longer and more prominent affiliations with the show than does Debbie Allen. If it's just a matter of a friendship between the judges and Debbie, that may be the case, but I'm sure the judges are probably friendly with the teachers/mentors of MANY of the contestants this show has had over the years...

Ok, so far here are the voting results. Based on a lot of posts here, these results aren't too surprising. Katee is the favorite with Mark a very close second. Josh pops in at third and Chelsie & Courtney seem to be almost neck in neck. Twitch, no surprise, not all that popular around here.

Will had every advantage of gaining a fan base,with all the excessive pimpage & screen time he received. The only one who received more screen time than Will was Twitch. What's more,the judges refused to ever critique him. I guess they felt they would be dissing Debbie Allen if they told Will he wasn't that good at something. Viewers have eyes and I got disgusted that Will was favored whether it was deserved or not.

I just wish Nigel & Co would be more objective and let things run their course and just happen. They tried too hard this season to manipulate things and it screwed up the season. You know they didn't intend or plan on the Josh/Katee & Mark/Chelsie pairings to explode the way they did. Katee was given a negative "quitter" edit before the show started and look at her now. They were "considering" cutting one of the strongest & more popular dancers.

Mark had NO airtime except that few seconds of his Bohemian Rhapsody audition, he was paired with Chelsie and proved to be a great partner, Nigel has been doing everything he can to beat Mark down and he makes it to Top 6.

Joshua was not one of their chosen ones either and Joshua managed to gain a huge amount of popularity of fan base.

Will basically had this season handed to him on a silver platter and he just couldn't cut it. Zero personality, zero connection with the audience and his partners. Great technician and solo dancer in his style and he will do well and get work, but "America's Favorite Dancer" he is not.

I think I mentioned this a few weeks ago but both Mark and Josh were on the lower end of the list to make 20 (meaning not the first 5 guys to be picked). Mary mentioned that she didn't expect either one to do so well. And then they were about to not put Katee in the top 20 either after that whole dramatic thing with her roommate. This season would have been much worse without them.

Interesting. Katee was at least my favorite girl going into the top ten, but in the last two weeks, she has dropped considerably for me. Out of her last six dances (four partner dances and two solos), I have liked exactly ZERO of them! (I'm not counting the group numbers, although I liked her in last night's hip hop and last week's contemporary.) Hopefully she will dance with Mark next week and that will make me like her again.

I could live with your survey results, Seaguy. If only our microcosm in here was a reflection on the general public consensus, this season would end perfectly.

I want to see "Super Twitch" crying like a baby as he is booted next week. I just watched the results show again (or rather my fave parts of it) and I still can't believe Twitch's reactions upon hearing about Mark's safety and his ending up in the bottom 2. I'm glad I saw it, so I can wipe my hands of Twitch and not feel at all sorry for him if (I hope) he gets the boot next week.

I just loved Mark's reaction. It was so genuine & cute & sweet. He deserved some good news after the last couple of weeks.

I loved Mark's reaction, too, but I also was kind of laughing at him a little bit. How could he have been surprised to be safe? Will was already bottom 2. There is no way they'd announce the second guy in the bottom 2 and take away all the suspense regarding the last two guys! Hasn't Mark ever watched reality TV?!?!

Well, with reality tv you NEVER really know what they'll do. Yeah, it seemed logical that he was safe, but in that moment you really don't know for sure. I mean, bringing out Chelsie and leaving Courtney back there...I wasn't sure what they were going to do there. She thought maybe she could have been safe. Just like Josh probably thought he was in the bottom two after they dragged Twitch's ass out there and seeing what they did with C & C.
