You could be right Seaguy. Laura/Max from "Your the One that I Want" flopped big time on grease (the musical actually lost money and that's what the main judge was saying could happen all season), and the Sandy runner-up Ashley ended up getting a role on Hairspray and got rave reviews.
ETA:
I just checked and Ashley from "Your the One that I want" IS Sandy on Broadway for Grease. Derek too is now Danny. I'm so glad they knew that they fucked up by picking those two.
I didn't know Ashley & Derek are now the leads for Grease. They were my favorites, I'm glad the producer of the Broadway show finally got it right. I'll definitely go and see it now.
