Mark is one of the only ones who begs for votes in a way that doesn't make me want to throttle him. His goofiness is so charming and infectious that he comes across loveable rather than desperate or annoying.

Comfort and Mark - Foxtrot - I am completely at odds with the judges on this one. I really liked it. Mark performed the hell out of it with a style that rivals old legends like Fred Astaire, and Comfort, to me at least, held her own. I'm not an expert at the technical elements of a foxtrot, and when Mary talked about the closed hold problems and they played back that moment, I guess I can see what she was talking about. Still, watching it the first time, I didn't notice. I was too caught up in the performance. For the judges to talk about the lack of chemistry and the thinking too much thing when they praised Will and Courtney's Samba earlier, though, was too much for me. I call shenanigans!


My Rankings (pair dances only):
1. Comfort and Mark - Hip Hop (by a mile)
2. Comfort and Mark - Foxtrot (I can't help it. I enjoyed it)

I thought the only great dance was Comfort and Mark's hip-hop. I thought all the rest had real problems, but that ultimately, Courtney and Will were the worst pair.

I agree with most of what you said, Drew, but I am only highlighting the good stuff about Mark (he's just too adorable and I just love him this season).

Mark owned in the Hip Hop. I bet Nigel gave Markfort Hip Hop thinking Mark would suck and they could bury them for an "allegedly" bad Foxtrot and Mark sucking at Hip Hop. Nigel was probably fuming inside when he saw Mark nailed the hip hop. Nigel seemed to be giving faint praise through locked teeth. (Nigel hate).

I just love Mark's miming or interpretive goofing when Cat is going over the numbers. It is so cute and fun and just highlights his quirky personality that I, personally, just love. Cat is cute how she plays off of Mark during these bits.

Mark looked soooo good in his ballroom outfit and I agree, he was like a Fred Astaire. I thought he had really good lines and extensions (to my untrained eyes) and looked so dreamy sexy. Mark <3<3 Mark also managed to make Comfort look good. I've said it before, Mark is the best partner this season. His lifts are always beautiful and he doesn't have the bulging muscles like Joshua and he doesn't throw & rip his partner around like Will does. Mark seems to gently and fluidly lift his partner, even loose limbed Comfort, and make it look graceful and elegant.

I am going to be so disappointed if Mark is booted tonight. I voted for him the entire 2 hours non-stop. I want to see Mark paired with Katee. Though, I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't get Katee, because Nigel wants him out, out, out and will give him who ever the perceived "worst" of the girls is left. A Mark & Katee pairing would be fantastic and I'm crossing my fingers it will happen next week.
