Yesterday, I finished reading "The Last Campaign: Robert F Kennedy and 82 Days that Inspired America" by Thurston Clarke. An excellent book about
RFK's campaign for President in 1968, but a bit depressing and sad. Sirhan Sirhan is a dick.

I have to give a shout-out to HooDoo for the Tim Dorsey recommendation. Pretty fucking hilarious. I dunno how I hadn't picked up his stuff before.

Empress by Shan Sa
It was one of the bargain books at B&N. Pretty good read so far. |

X On Hoodoo's recommendation, I read all of Dorsey's books last summer while floating in the pool. |

I wanted to like James Rollins books, because they sound like great adventure tales. Then I started one (Dust Storm or Sandstorm or something similar) and it
seemed like every chapter ended with a cliffhanger attack by hooded assassins. It got tiresome very quickly. Are all of his books like that?

Sandstorm was my least favorite book of his, it did seem a little tedious at
times and I almost put it down. There are a lot of attacks and bad guys in his books, but for the most part, it keeps
them moving. You just grabbed a bad one to start with.

The Judas Strain by James Rollins Was it good? I just ordered it. And Next by Michael Crichton. I have run out of books by authors that I know I
like, so I've been taking some suggestions from here. Just finished Clockwork Orange, Atlas Shrugged, and 1984.
