FYI, Rachel crying when Kat was told to pack her bags was the best moment of the series for me. I don't watch Big Brother for stupid ass petty drama about
food, cigarettes, or god-forbid, Picadilly, but rather people becoming friends and really caring about the experience. Which is why I like Kat, Rachel...and
now Maysoon as much as I do. They genuinely seem to care about some of the people in there.
B-Block for the win. :) |

I'm actually gaining enjoyment from seeing how much Rex can push himself out there to be nominated and evicted and still keep staying. (Love his cheering
whenever his name is announced.) He already failed to be nominated this week and it must be killing him that he's stuck there another week. I can
completely understand his mindset of wanting to get out of the house but not wanting to quit. His stories about being loaded are actually getting more and more
ridiculously funny and his lame attempts to be an ass are pretty amusing. The way things are going, I could see him surviving another couple of weeks since
he'll stay over most of the others except the frontrunners.

Ok, in what way are Bex and Luke making this show great? They really don't cause any drama of any sort, or create any entertainment. Unless you find
Rebecca running around topless to be high entertainment television. I think there might be some entertainment in a B-Block final six, maybe not drama
entertainment, but there might be some entertainment. They might have interesting conversations, or food fights or something. It might not be as unbearable as
people think.

Bex has been pathetic, degenerating into a cartoon by alternating moaning all the time, terrorizing Luke and partying and getting her tits out in a pitiable
way to get accepted. It's not drama. It's just sad.

Agree with Dying Clown 100000% (and Cassidy and others) B Block is a very interesting group. There are division, they can annoy each other but there is genuine
friendship that's NOT based on hating other Housemates (Bex, Luke, Mikey and Lisa). I love moments like Rachel crying for Kat, the game of waterglove,
pillow fights, cloud-watching, Rex tormenting the Hellmates. All of it is much more interesting to me than Mikey's rants about how Darnell is Satan for not
buying him chocolate, seeing Bex get her tits out at any request, Luke running from her while giggling and honestly Lisa just being out out OUT OF HER MIND.
She's too disconnected from everyone else to be interesting to me.
The Original Heavenmates >>>> current HeavenMates. Their late night lux bedroom antics were so much funnier and interesting to watch than the current crop. Dale's sooooo self-important right now it's bordering on disgusting. |

I don't get the Rex love at all. Bizzare.People can fall over themselves to say he's misunderstood, he's a sweetie underneath, he's a bad boy with a soft underbelly. Whether he actually is or not doesn't matter, because they can pretend he is. Rachel serves the role of the girl who is treated poorly by him but keeps coming back for more because she just wants to understand him. I do think he likes Rachel, she just sets him off because he can't believe anyone is a genuinely nice person. He's very hurtful and selfish and smug. He also has a sexy voice, nicely toned body, a nice ass, and (unless he stuffs) a big dick. He's a big dick with a big dick. I think he's the guy who's not supposed to be attractive but is, in a season with guys who are supposed to be attractive but aren't (Stuart, Dale). So that makes him even more attractive to some people, if they think they aren't supposed to find him attractive. People often feel like this show is trying to manipulate them and if they go for Rex, they can believe they are subverting the system. I don't think he's a mastermind or a sweetie underneath but I do enjoy seeing him wind people up. He inadvertently changed the game by smudging the painting, which made Jen become a hate figure, got Dennis kicked out, and secured poor Sylvia's eviction. People would still be sitting through the tedious Dale/Jen/Stuart triangle. He even gave Mikey a moment to shine when Mikey took a moment from his shouty swearing/bitching/pity parties to tell Rex to just leave if he doesn't want to be there. Now Mikey has a Best Bits moment besides putting his bits in a coffee cup. Are Bex and Luke just an uglier, coarser version of Chanelle and Ziggy? Chanelle's entire personality became about Ziggy. Ziggy was insecure and spent most of his time trying to manipulate the public. Bex will never have an opportunity to grow as long as Luke is around. That's why I'd rather Bex go now. Luke stands by as she's degraded and it's only going to get worse the longer she stays in the house. At least if she goes now, people can say the show sucks without her and they might like her more in hindsight after she's gone, unlike some of the "characters" in previous seasons who were kept in for such a long time that people greeted their eviction with more of a shrug than a boo. If Bex goes, Luke will have an opportunity to have some type of memorable reaction. I wonder if he'll make the effort. So far he's managed to be the most boring show favorite I can remember. Maybe this is BB's punishment for people who didn't like Brian Belo.

A Dying Clown wrote: Good observation. Although I curse you for even reminding me that TK & Rachel existed... ugh, and WON. Shucks, I'd honestly managed to forget about them until now. I don't love Rex. But I actually like that with Rex, what you see is what you get. He came off as an asshole in his VT and sure enough, turned out to be an asshole. And unlike countless other deluded housemates the Big Brother world over, Rex is completely aware of it, and unapologetic about it. I actually find it refreshing and it's funny to me to watch someone who is so cavelier and honestly doesn't give a damn. There are housemates who pretend they don't care about the public's perception, yet I don't think Rex is pretending. All that taken into consideration, Rex is not someone I would want to spend any significant amount of time with, but watching him has provided some good TV for me anyway. Bex is so convinced she is the star of the show, and going on Big Brother has probably been her life's goal. I imagine with someone like Bex, if you wrote a book about her life, Big Brother would be the most important thing that ever happens to her. There's something I find sort of sad about that. With Rex, BB would end up being just a sentence in a chapter filled with other experiences he's had that most people don't. And that's something that sort of makes me resent him. Bex is so insecure and desperate for approval she'll peel off and jiggle her bits on national TV for no reason other than she's dared to....Rex has such little respect for other people he treats them horribly. They're just complete opposites. |

I like that Bex takes out her tits and goes for it. I don't think a girl doing that is degrading. Guys flash their dicks all the time and its not
considered degrading but just "lad humour". Women and sexuality have this tinge that if you are sexually expressive as a woman, either you are being
led on by men or are a dirty, self-depricating whore. I always found this stigma to women's sexuality a sad one.
Just like when women sleep around they are whores but when men do it, they are champs. Bex expresses to me a woman with no shame or barriers in terms of being an expressive sexual being and I find it quite refreshing to see. I'm not talking about promiscuity, just being a sexual being. |

The reason I don't like seeing her give the peep show is because I think she believes she needs to show her breasts to get approval. The men taunt her and
lead her on, and out they come again. Her self-worth is tied up in how men feel about her.

Her self-worth is tied up in how men feel about her.I think that applies more to Sylvia than Rebecca. I've never seen her want any attention from any male other than Luke and most of that is Grade 5 playground stuff. I think she's flashing them because she's one of those people that when challenged goes for it and pushes the boundaries. She doesn't seem to back out of any dares. From what I've seen, she probably has the healthiest sense of who she is as a woman and what she likes and dislikes about herself and others but that's JMO. |

I think Rebecca wants to believe she's happy with herself, but she spends so much time trying to get people's attention. She lets them define her.
Maybe I'm just projecting onto her because I don't like Dale or Luke. Maybe I'm not being fair to her.

B Block is a very interesting group.I feel like I have entered the twilight zone or something. Darnell, Rex, Mo, Kat and Rachel are some of the most annoying HMs ever. Darnell with the stupid game talk and martyr playing, Rex insulting people and talking about himself, Mo with the food and being intimidated, Kat with the cookies and the singing and the bad Engrish, and Rachel just being dumb and boring. There is nothing else with these people. Luke/Bex/Lisa/Mikey FOR THE WIN!!! |

Well, here's a third stance for you all. I was nearly three weeks behind and now I'm two episodes from being caught up. I think they all suck. Darnell
and Rex calling people on their shit is the only thing I really like about this season although it is more entertaining on an episode-by-episode basis than BB8
or BB4. Kat is a showpony who deserves to win the least of anyone there. Not only does she try too hard, but she also doesn't even say a word in half of
the episodes. If the public chooses her as the winner, which seems likely given that everyone else has set firecrackers off on their own feet, they'll be
rewarding the fakest and most UTR house mate in the entire house and the least developed character ever. I know nothing
about Kat except that she pretends to cry when people argue while overdoing it with the "I like cookies and happiness" mantra.
After Bex goes, Dale needs to head out the door next. He slimed his way into the B Block with semi-approval and then immediately nominated Mo/Darnell right after Darnell placed him in Heaven. He continually says little things about how such and such isn't liked, will be nominated, etc. whilst knowing full well that he's out for blood of those that were part of Jen's exit. Lisa saying that the cosmos alligned for a good purpose in order for Mario to leave was just as gag inducing. Take her out as well. Mikey's an oddball. He says deep-to-the-core shit about people without giving a rat's ass which I like. On the other hand, he's still as delusional as fuck and the chocolate thing was judge, jury & executioner for his chances of receiving respect from me. Rachel's nothing but the show goes too far making her appear that well. I'm still noticing out of focus shots (or out of frame ones) when she's involved with a deep conversation or consoling somebody. Producers have it in for her for some reason or another. Nothing, I repeat, NOTHING is worse this season than Rebecca thinking she's popular on the outside for surviving against fuckin' Mario. As soon as that happened, she "treated" us to hours of Nikki Diary Room impressions. Painful. Darnell to win. He has very little self awareness or doesn't give a shit about the cameras most of the time as evidenced with the "joke" he played on Sara. That sealed the deal for me. |

I kind of think that this season is entertaining, but there is nobody to really root for. Each episode provides good entertainment, but there is nobody I
really love and want to win. That is probably why I don't feel more motivated to go watch each episode. I just feel like there is nobody to root for.

loved his reasoning. "i want people to nominate me." OR MAYBE it's because you're just a dick. ETA: i wouldn't know darnell was black either, if i hadn't heard him mention it. maybe rachel simply hadn't until now. (although of course i still acknowledge she's a bit daft--356 days in a year
