If it isn't already completely obvious he's an idiot, the fact that he told Angie "that's what I wanted you to think" is proof enough. If his strategy is to look dumb, then why is he giving it away already? He's clearly just trying very hard to convince people he isn't the idiot he...is. You're going to have to use a little more brain power than that. Brian just overplayed, doesn't mean he isn't smart. Maybe he is, maybe he isn't, but that was a statement to neither. Even the mentally retarded can form alliances, just because someone outlasts someone doesn't make that a testament to IQ, in fact it's oftentimes the opposite way. People are taken out because they are smart, or just on the outside of an alliance of people that are dumber than they are, like Steven is in this case. He's not the greatest player, but I have no doubt he's smarter than Jessie.

Reconsider before making such illogical statements; it only makes you look dumb.
