I guess I'm the only one who thinks it's Paul. How awesome for the producers to guarantee that the most controversial player makes it to the very end
by just making the mole a total ass?
Nicole FTW! |

If Nicole thinks Craig's the mole, then wouldn't she be shocked if Craig was eliminated next week?
I'm predicting Craig gone, Mark the Mole, Nicole wins. |

are we sure they're at the execution when Nicole exhales in supposed shock? There looks to be a black truck behind her and Mark, and Mark looks perfectly
calm. It could just be a clip from the host explaining a task that causes her to gasp.
She and Mark are wearing the same clothes at a dinner though -probably the pre-eviction/test dinner. So yeah, probably is eviciton footage. -Shock that Paul or Craig leaves -most likely Craig, the "Mole." |

Could also be that she was shocked that the person who games the hardest (Mark) got the boot when she probably expected Paul or Craig to. |

Nicole is the only one to even bring up Mark as the Mole -even in jest -in the premiere episode.
"I picked Mark on purpose because of his history teacher background, and he did seem a little bit lost with the item... hmmm, maybe he's the Mole." this is juxtaposed with Mark frustrated with people bringing electrical equipment and Craig bringing over the Mole sign -which Mark reinforces to the audience (Craig is the Mole) -"That's not funny." And later a long shot drawn out where Mark adds jeans to the pile -"He had to have pants." Overzealousness for winning yet throwing in a obvious item that would never exist -cotton denim. |

The ending of the second episode after Nicole and Paul's verbal fight ends with Nicole's warning to Paul -"I will beat you in this game."
Now that it wasn't just an event that has to be shown but where the whole show has been wrapped up with, it takes a second look. In the next episode, she tells us the stuff with Paul is "too bad, because I am here to stay." In the premiere, Mark tells us he has to win it for his family. Paul, Nicole and Mark are the ones with the longevity -not Craig. The only thing that makes sense is they are decoying us with Mark and the sad angle. If Nicole has to beat Paul then it either means he's the mole or the runner-up. If he's the Mole, then Mark would have to win with the sad sap angle. And it doesn't make sense rewatching the episodes that Paul or Nicole doesn't beat the other in a battle of outwitting. Paul's getting the mastermind edit, and Nicole's getting the jerk/"she's nuts"/abbrasive edit that is softening and ultimately misunderstood. I still say it goes Craig is the obvious Mole and then surprisingly goes; Paul and Nicole try to one up one another in the finale with Mark desperately trying to win money and win the whole thing. In the finale after the questioning of the past contestants, they all say it's Nicole -Nicole is revealed as the winner and she opens the door revealing Mark is the Mole -Clay is shocked, Paul shakes Nicole's hand. |

This isn't Survivor. Sometimes, things are just that simple. Craig is the mole. Don't overthink it too much.

Um...no. It means Paul comes in 4th and Nicole comes in 3rd. Mark is the most obvious ep1 giveaway winner since Vanuatu. And Craig is an even worse mole than Katherine. Jon: "We have a tie...everyone got all the questions right again." |

The problem with Mark is that he was WAY too into his alliance with Clay from what we saw. The Mole's not supposed to favor any single person, and so the
"Drink Alex under the table" thing woulda been ethically out of bounds.

yeah but on the recap they showed Bobby and Mark make an alliance (oops, sorry Survivor copyright) -coalition. And then Bobby told the audience that he
didn't think the mole would do something and then rules Mark out.
Mark: I wouldn't lie to you. Bobby: I don't think the Mole's going to make a coalition with anyone, I really don't. Then Clay also does the same thing with Mark, shakes his hand and tells him, "I'm not the Mole." Mark agrees and repeats "I wouldn't lie to you." Everything is showing us how Nicole wins it (in my opinion) -and since Mark also fits into the winner mold. Remember in the chain gang task, Nicole looks at Mark and he comments to us he knew then it was truthful and not about the game. There's a character transfer thing going on there. One of them is the winner, and one is the Mole. |

You guys are thinking WAY to much from a player's point of view, trying to evaluate every one's play as Moley or not.
If you are the Mole, you have absolutely NO OBLIGATION to SABOTAGE ANYTHING. You are paid a FLAT FEE. You don't win the Pot the rest of the Crew loses. (Maybe it'd be better if the Mole WON, everything the Group LOST. But that would make the Mole reckless and an EASY PICK. Then everyone would sabotage everything in an attempt to distract people from the actual Mole more than they already do.) Kathryn did very little to ruin the Assignments. Bill had the last Assignment in HIS hands and let the Pot go up, I believe, $120,000 rather than take some money himself, out of RESPECT to the Ultimate Winner. Because he lived with these people for a Month and wanted the Winner to walk away with as much money as possible. THAT'S how ACTUAL Moles PLAYED. You should think about THAT as much as you imagine the Mole "should" play, according to ABC SPIN. You people are forgetting an essential part of the Game. ABC picks the Mole out of the Contestants. That makes the Mole one of the Contestants, sympathetic to the other players, whose primary motivation is to HIDE the fact that they are the Mole. What gives away the Mole isn't the Mole's behavior. It really should be thinking about ABC'S motives and who they WANT to be the Mole. WHY they want you to think one person is the Mole as opposed to another. What they want the best over-all Story line to be. What keeps everyone GUESSING until the end as to who the actual Mole is. Of the four remaining players, ABC has been hinting the STRONGEST that Paul, Nicole and, yes, Mark is the Mole. Their interests is to throw you off the track. |

Actually, I think on a marathon rewatch they have been hitting us STRONGEST that Craig and Nicole are the Moles -Mark and Paul we are continually told by others in confessionals that they can't be the Mole. We've been told Craig's intended modus operandi by others if he were to be the Mole -and that would ruin the surprise ending. |

So if Nicole and Craig are too obvious to be the mole, and Mark would be the worst mole ever (seriously, how much money has he won for the pot? Has he ever
even screwed up a game? People say he put pants in the Robinson Crusoe thing, but that isn't a screw up; out of all the correct items brought back, the
history people managed to place all of them on the table. They could only put what they had, and so pants was a last resort. The only game I legitimately
remember him screwing up during was when he cost the post 30 000 dollars by biking up the hill for an exemption).
Doesn't that leave Paul by default? |

Unfortunately, I'm gonna be disappointed with whomever the mole is revealed to be. None of them to see be great contenders.
And Nicole? Well, we know everything she's done virtually all season. |

Mark would be the worst mole ever (seriously, how much money has he won for the pot? Has he ever even screwed up a game?He refused to participate a couple of times, I think. I mean, he was the instigator, if I remember right(which I possibly don't). The laundromat/clothing thing, and again when Craig picked out the costumes for everyone. Does anyone remember anything else he has sabotaged? How much money has he personally put into the pot? BTW-- colleenlover, you seem so smart. Do you agree that Mark is the Mole? If you think so, I won't feel so stupid for thinking it's Mark. |

tigeranne, no, I'm with you.
Yeah, in practicality of real life, Mark being the Mole is dumb -he's won so much for them. But in terms of story and editing, I think it makes the most sense. Craig is the decoy Mole -with no real endgame story, out next. Nicole "will beat [Paul] at this game," and does in the end. Mark is the surprise Mole -who did play competitively to win for his family -just not the prize money. Paul is humbled that a woman beat him. But then again, I thought for sure Heather or Al would win the second season and Dorothy was out fourth. |

I just thought of this (file this under Paul is the mole theory). In the chain game, where none of them took the execution, Paul was the only one who even
wavered his hand over the exemption. I don't think he, as the mole, would have taken it. However, I think maybe the producers might have wanted a shot of
somebody's hand over the exemption, which he was willing to provide. Anybody else agree? I remember it being in the previews but being disappointed that
nobody took it.

When Mark says I am doing this for my family. Does he actually say I have to win? or could it be why he was the mole. I am torn between Mark and Paul.
