Coffey is the most atrocious singer I've seen as a finalist on one of these shows since Corey Clark. Ashlee and Gabe are both mind-numbingly boring - Laura
and Sophie were MUCH more entertaining. And Shawn is totally inconsistent (I thought she SUCKED this week). Melissa is the only winner who wouldn't make me
throw up...

Laura and Sophie were great this week...
John Rich "defending" Jewels honor to those poor young girls was disgusting. If you WIKI Big and Rich, they've only had ONE top ten hit. (Granted, John Rich makes a fortune on tunes he's written...). Jewel has yet to have a top ten hit in Country. I'd like to see John Rich without a hat. Probably balder that Dwight Yoakum....... |

Gabe has been the most consistent since the beginning, and the only way he loses is if the judges keep claiming that he fails to engage the audienceTo me I think it's pretty obvious that they want Melissa as the winner. Every week they keep telling her how she is the flat out winner....but omg America you have to vote for her because she's always at the bottom. The fix for her to win has been on since episode one...anyone who hasn't seen it is blind. |

I can't figure out if you're joking or not. Gabe is the single dullest singer I have EVER seen and Ashlee is not far behind. I don't think it would
be possible for ANYBODY to be duller than the two of them, and in any case, Melissa isn't dull.

The only reason she stands out is that she's fat. There are a ton of singers way better than her and she would totally bomb if she won the show.

Melissa is BY FAR the best thing in this group. She's a big girl and she's not trying to screeeeam all the time like they do, she sounds really good.
Gabe has a good voice but I can't stay awake during his performances. I'd rather watch paint dry. Ashlee, the girl is hot and has a cute sound, but she has a loooong way to go. Coffey and the Mayer chick should just go. |

LOL @ Pimpin and Holla being in a country song. It's ridiculous that he's top 4 after having all terrible performances. I hate how unsuspenseful this
show is. All the "bottom 2's" have been so predictable of who would stay and who would go.
The winner of this gets to perform their original at the olympics. Melissa's lyrics to her song is PERFECT for the Olympics. I agree with John so far tonight. Gabe is good and shit but he has no stage presence. God help me if Ashlee goes. She's the only person who can stop Melissa from winning. |

That's bullshit. Some random black guy who has sucked and got horrible feedback, gets to stay over Ashley who arguably was the most consistent all season?
I just don't get it. However, they have taken out their biggest threat and Melissa is going to win this. ETA: This show is incapable of supporting more than one female at once. |

That was ridiculous Ashlee was the best of the group, not the best singer, but the best artist and all around star.
Hopefully she'll get a record deal, I mean if Kristy Lee Cook (who I love) can get a record deal, this girl can for sure. |

As soon as Coffey was announced first, I knew that Ashlee was gone. She may not have been the best singer, but she was definitely the most improved of the
final 5. I agree that we have not seen the last of her.
As for the remaining 4, I'm coming around to the rest of you and think that Melissa has this in the bag. Her original song was the best of the bunch, and her voice is amazing. Gabe is the only one left who can beat her, with Shawn a solid third. I just hope that whoever wins this doesn't end up like the winners of the previous 4 seasons: never to be heard from again. Buddy Jewell is the only winner who had any success after the show. |

Buddy Jewell is the only winner who had any success after the show.Chris Young is still around, he's opening for someone, and I can't remember who right now, its on his myspace. I don't care for his latest song he has up on there, but the other ones were good. and Miranda may not have won it, but she is very "successful." None of these would be successful. The fat woman isn't anything special, and I don't even like her voice, and her shrillness, nothing original, nothing I'd ever buy. Gabe has a chance if he gets great songs, and like Rich says, develops some more stage presence, but usually the record companies train them more in that.
