In desperately trying to conjure up ways that Brian might possibly still remain involved in the show, now that it looks like he's not being sequestered, I started thinking about his obsession with the 14th spot on the Memory Wall. What if they made our first twist that the pre-Jury boots are the "14th HG"? They get to go back to their lives, see the show, read the boards, watch the feeds. Then they're brought back once a week (or gathered in some totally separate place -- the rumored "disappearing room"?) to do a DR where they discuss the house happenings and then cast their vote: 1 vote for the entire group (so this week Brian gets to decide on his own, but next week, he'll have to come to agreement with whomever is voted out next).

I mean, AG has got to be pretty pissed at the possibility of her faves being booted early (like last season with Jen, Parker, Amanda, Alex), so maybe she set it up so she can still get some value out of these early evictees. Plus, CBS stubbornly refuses to allow more than an hour for the finale, so the early boots (by necessity) get such short shrift, and I'm always interested in hearing from the HGs who have actually been outside the game, back in the real world, privy to what's really going on.

Imagine the looks on the HGs faces if they follow the sheeply path this week and unanimously vote out Steven, but Brian votes to evict Dan, and Julie announces "By a vote of 9-1, Steven, you have been evicted from the Big Brother house." I wonder how long it would take them to figure it out. Dan would think the extra vote was America, because that was Brian's theory.

Or BB could even tell them about the twist, and see how it affects their strategy, having to take into consideration the extra vote when it looks like it will be a close one. They could only do it for a few weeks, because that one vote becomes too powerful later on -- maybe make their last "14th HG" vote the one that sends the first Juror to sequester. Then, after that, the segment is replaced by the normal sequester house footage.

I don't think the extra vote would be earth-shattering, or would likely wind up changing the course of the game -- it would just really be an excuse to have the early evictees (who may wind up being fan favorites, like Brian and most likely Steven ) stick around a bit and add an extra element to the show -- insiders with an outsider's perspective.

I would really love to see Brian and Steven's joint DR session where they do a sock puppet recap of the week and then get to cast their vote to evict Libra. (Ewww, but then she would be with them the following week.)
