in lubbock, they have this really cool thing - at least for lubbock - the art trail. the first friday of every month, a cute little trolly carries you from art gallery to art gallery. you get free cocktails, snakkies, art and transportation. a trolly shows up at each gallery about every 15 minutes. catch one if you want, or wait for the next one. some of the downtown restaurants have local art and therefore count as a gallery. it's fun to ride around a bit and then go back to your favorite bar.

HOWEVER -- and how this relates to breastfeeding. back in December, some dumbass that works for the city HEARD that there was going to be nude paintings at the Buddy Holly Center (owned by the city) on the art trail. they're freakin sketches and he never actually SAW them - he just HEARD about them.





OH HOLY SHIT. there was such an uproar by breastfeeding moms, at the art trail in January, we had this.

a bunch of breastfeeding mothers who showed up in protest and a bunch of guys that came to watch. the most popular art trail ever.

anyway the artist's sketches ended up being shown in a church. and she's become incredibly popular.

now understand, this is the same city that prays for rain (el paso flooded - about 500 miles away in the desrt ), raided a chippendales event and arrested the dancers, and arrested some poor old lady store clerk because her place of employment had more than 6 dildos in the store --which at the time was illegal in texas, but lubbock was the only city to enforce that law. the law has since been repealed.

btw, on a side note, my county was one of the few Huckabee swept during the primary.
