I would be happy to keep the flow going if any moms need help.

I breastfed until my daughter was 13 months. I did not want her lifting up my shirt and helping herself.

my son was on breastmilk until he was two. never had formula. however, he sippy cupped that shit after a year/year and ahalf. kids shouldn't have bottles
or tits after a certain age. whatever they're having should be in a cup

BTW: I plan on sucking tits tonight. So ... 46 seems too young to stop.

I think mini-meatball was 15 or 16 months when she stopped. It was about the same time that she started walking. I only nursed her once or twice a day the last
couple months.

really ...it's not the act of breat feeding an older child ..... it's the playing with your pussy while your at it that's JUST WRONG!

I breastfed my twins for 13 months. Around a year babies actually kind of wean themselves and you have to really work to push through that and continue on. By
then my boobies were very tired and it was the perfect time to stop.

Did you feel "so sad" when they weaned. I keep reading posts by mothers practically having nervous breakdowns because their kids are weaning. ChaCha!

No, frig that. There was a smidge of sadness, but getting my body back, not having to worry if I had a glass of wine, not worrying if they're drinking
enough, getting past all that was a relief. By 13 months they were ready and I was ready to call it a day.

NTA, I was ready, too. He wasn't feeding that often, just as a supplement, but sometimes I felt like a human pacifier. My feelings were a leetle hurt that
all it took was saying, "No more Mommy milk" for him to be weaned. He asked one more time, and then never again. It was time.
AND YOU WERE DOING IT WITH TWINS? |

Yeah, right? I couldn't feed them both at the same time because it felt like my eyeballs were going to be sucked into my head, so I had to feed them one at
a time. It's pretty much all I did for those 13 months. Just a milk machine.

in lubbock, they have this really cool thing - at least for lubbock - the art trail. the first friday of every month, a cute little trolly carries you from
art gallery to art gallery. you get free cocktails, snakkies, art and transportation. a trolly shows up at each gallery about every 15 minutes. catch one if
you want, or wait for the next one. some of the downtown restaurants have local art and therefore count as a gallery. it's fun to ride around a bit and
then go back to your favorite bar.
HOWEVER -- and how this relates to breastfeeding. back in December, some dumbass that works for the city HEARD that there was going to be nude paintings at the Buddy Holly Center (owned by the city) on the art trail. they're freakin sketches and he never actually SAW them - he just HEARD about them.
OH HOLY SHIT. there was such an uproar by breastfeeding moms, at the art trail in January, we had this.

NiceToAnimals wrote: I remember that. not able to drink -- worrying about what you ate even. NO broccoli, peppers, anything grown up. no pain pills or other good drugs. although my grandmother did tell me that beer helped make better milk. that was my whole goal back then, better milk for my baby. |
