If I remember correctly, on season 6, Michael, Crappy, and Kaysar, they ALL talked directly to the callers on housecalls. The only ones who did not talk direclty were the jurors. If they wouldn't allow Brian to talk direclty to callers, that would indicate that he might return, and Grodner doesn't want us to know that.
