So once again why do people get married?
Other than to combine properties and produce ligit heirs no reason at all. Love crap is for the weepy chick stories |

She will also ask for alimony based upon his future earnings and she deserves every penny - considering she helped put him through school.
I hope you don't mind working too Angela - he's going to need help with the alimony and child support. |

I grew up with an attorney as a father. He worked 7 days a week for many many years. However, he would wake up early to try to be done at a reasonable hour. If
I end up with this man I know what I am signing up for. And as far as money neither of us are very materialistic and he and his wife will have been married 9
years they will not give her alimony for long, maybe 2 years. But she deserves every penny she gets. I also have a very good job and can make 6 figures if I
want to. Money does not = happiness, I tried that. We have more money than we know what to do with. Shopping only cures you so much.
I do not know what my future holds, but for sure, it will be better to be on my own than with my husband. |

I left a passion-free relationship at 28, after 5 years, and it was the most eye-opening, wonderful experience. Best of luck with your "new life",
Ang.

Is your lovah going to Law School in Wisconsin? Is he planning on practicing law in Wisconsin? He doesn't have to take the bar if he gets his degree from
Marquette or UW.

Angela, I'm glad you are leaving an unhappy marriage. If something works out with the other dude, great. I hope you'll be happy regardless. Good Luck.

I do not know what my future holds, but for sure, it will be better to be on my own than with my husband. Would you have left now if you hadn't hooked up with this other guy? That's the thing. You should leave for yourself and not because you think another man is waiting for you or is going to help you. Especially if you have kids. Are you getting primary? Even with child support that can be very, very tough. |

Lovah is not in same state as me, so he does have to take the bar, he considered Madison but decided not. Also his family is very wealthy so they most likely
are paying for their living expenses.
I would have left if I did not reconnect with this guy. He did help me get the cajones to finally do it because through our contact I started realizing how much of myself I had lost and how much of what life had to offer I was not experiencing. I am leaving for me. I have no idea what will happen with this guy. I am much happier knowing I am moving forward. We are most likely going to do a 50/50 split of the kids. I will get money from the home and I will get some support and maintenance. I will be okay. I make a decent living and can always switch to a more challenging sales job to make more. And most likely I will not be alone forever and will share a household with another wage earner at some point. |
