Sorry. Modern Pastry is the Official Shitweasel Approved™ bakery in the North End.
I think the oldest pub thing is the Bell and Hand? |

I suppose you think that Pizza Hut has good pizza because thousands of people eat there?
Mike's is a tourist trap. |

I can get better pastry in NYC than in any of the shit dives in the North End. You can't even find decent cookies there.

Yes, Powers, of course. Mike's is horrible, disease-ridden pastry. Modern Pastry is far, far better. On the spectrum of right and wrong, you are way on the
right side and I'm way on the wrong side. There is absolutely no way that they are both very good bakeries. Thank you for sharing your wisdom and knowledge
with all of us. We are blessed by your presence!!

i have to somewhat agree on mike's. the food is great but there are many other places that also have great pastry and aren't quite as clogged up all
the time.

You're welcome, NTA. I'm here to help and your honesty and candor is refreshing.

Powers is right. Any native NorthEnder will tell you that Mike's is for tourists and that everybody knows that Modern Pastry is the place to go. Among
other things, it's about freshness.
While you're there, there's a tiny restaurant further up Hanover St. called Pomodoro. It's killer if you can get in. |

I'll forgive you for not getting that one, on account of you only having 172 posts. But next time, SHAPE UP!

I'd heard all those famous dead people graves in Boston weren't their original resting places, that they just moved the gravestones around so it's
easier for tourists to see them.

stones. You only moved the head stones. Why? Why?"
