Lynn was such a fun person to hang out with. I told her I never saw her season, and that the last one I watched was the Romber one. She said she was quite spunky at the airport when they got screwed on the standby list thingy. She had a way of just shaking her head and rolling the eyes thing that needed no words for what she thought of Jason.

Although she used words too.

Chris had a good story about how he got to spend New Years Eve with dinner at Jeff's house with Julie (because him and Julie are great friends to this day). He asked Jeff what reaally goes on when he goes to tally the votes. (Sidenote: I don't know if this is true, just what Chris told me so I don't think it's giving anything away as I believe (Eliza?) that this would fall under the category of Hearsay) He said first he goes back there and gets a drink and relaxes a little while they watch the tribe and laugh a little at us while we're all just sitting there. Then him and about 3 other people go over the votes and input their ideas of the order to put them in. Then he said Jeff sits there and finishes his drink and they chuckle a little more at us while we're sitting there wiping the sweat off of us from that damn fire and shifting to get the blood back in our asses from those stumps we're sitting on.

I really like Chris and Lynn and I couldn't have been hooked up for the day with 2 better people.

Oh my, I don't really remember for Vanuatu. Maybe 2 to 3 weeks??? And the first call I got was not to ask me to go to city interviews. They said they were just calling to make sure all my info was correct. I asked if this was really a phone interview and they said "no". ;) ;) ;)

And as far as this time, yes, after you go through the semi finals in LA, and all the calling they do before then, I hung onto every piece of info (phone numbers, addresses, extension numbers etc.) that I got. So I would always call after they said no and I sent in the five more tapes, to make sure they got them, just say hi, don't forget about me, how you doing, etc. Then I talked with (name omitted) and asked if I still needed to send in tapes because they're expensive to make, and she said that as much as they enjoy getting my tapes and laughing, that no, I didn't need to anymore as they obviously still remember me. So that's the explanation of 'just calling twice'.

When they called this time, I asked if they were on the city interviews and they said no. I said "Oh, you must be on the finals in LA then" They said no, they were done with those too and they still weren't happy with a couple of spots and would I like to come out to LA for 2 days and re-interview.

How do you say no to that? Absolutely!!!

I only had 2 days and not 10, so it was all crammed in pretty quick. I still had to meet with producers, and go to the cbs studios in the conference room and meet with the big wigs. The Mafia-looking large man that was there for Vanuatu (and NEVER cracked a smile) wasn't there. I think the head cheese was a lady this time and although I don't think I cracked her up, she seemed way more into the interview with me than the other dude did. Then me and Alexis got picked out to go see a doctor and get physicals. Then back at the hotel, there was me, Alexis, Mary Who and another guy who sat in a room and took 3 hours worth of personality tests, IQ tests and some other test I don't remember. (Same ones I took 3-1/2 yrs earlier) Then later that evening, we went to a room to get 6 shots. All the time, they tell you that this is no guarantee that you will be on the show. You go home and wait about another 2 weeks before they tell you for sure, and then you have about 2 weeks to get all your affairs in order.
