2. Peih-Gee Law (Survivor China)

I definitely thought Peih-Gee would be completely different than what she ended up being. I thought she was going to be a Kelly G type person, because she described herself as a bitchy girl pre-show. Turns out I was completely wrong. Watching episode 1, she was a very hard worker, and was frustrated by ZH's suckage. Seeing her cry after losing the first IC was sad. I honestly thought she was too abrasive for the game, and I was 100% expecting her to be out by episode 4. But she shifted gears and started playing the game. <3 She got in with Jaime, most importantly, but also Erik and Frosti. After Chicken left, they had a majority. And it was going to be Jaime/Erik vs. Peih-Gee/Frosti. But pre-swap, I was a fan of Peih-Gee but not a huge fan. After the swap, she really emerged as a big character, in a different facet. A very strategic facet. She had great assessments about the game and Aaron, and had the perfect idea to throw the challenges to allow Frosti and Sherea a chance to make the merge. Because otherwise, they really wouldn't have had a chance because of the 7 Fei Long members. Now after the first challenge was thrown, they ran into roadblocks with Frosti and Sherea being afraid to communicate and James finding the idol/playing them, and they won the next IC when logically they should have thrown it, but good thing they didn't because of James' idol. Who knew James could play the game?? After the merge is when Peih-Gee became my favourite. She started off hoping for the best, but she was put in a really bad position. But she NEVER gave up and was a fighter. One of the best underdogs ever on the show. She wasn't afraid to tell someone she had a problem with them, like how James got in a hoot about Jaime/PG throwing the challenge, yet he barely made an effort in that reward challenge. Or how she gave Denise the experience of a lifetime and then Denise is saying things like "I want her weak." Understandable gameplay, but lets face it, Denise is a bitch. When she won that immunity with the zodiac symbols... that was such a nerve wracking challenge. But her brains paid off <3 I was so happy with that. For someone who never really watched the show, the fact that she was able to come up with the plan to boot Todd if James played the idol was brilliant. In the next episode, she really tried to flip Denise, but her come from behind immunity victory was absolutely amazing. I was so impressed with her. <3 She gave it her all, and came so close to winning that F5 immunity. Her scene with Amanda was nice, so it was surprising and funny when she scolded Amanda at final tribal. But Peih-Gee was the ultimate fighter and underdog, and it goes to show you how much I rooted for her when she really only became my favourite in the last 3 or 4 episodes. <3 The fact that she wasn't on fans vs. favourites was a travesty.






1. Amber Brkich (Survivor All*Stars)

Coming into All*Stars, everyone knew, including myself, that Amber didn't deserve to be an all star. The choice perplexed me. But honestly? I didn't care. I was happy to have at least one of my season faves on the show. I try not to make a big deal about Amanda making it on over Peih-Gee, but that did completely rob one of my favourite contestants. Anyway, Amber started off the season UTR, but still likable. I loved her alliance with Rob, and she went crazy drunk in episode 3. In episode 4, they showed her strategic side in approaching/convincing Tom to boot Rob C. And at tribal her fun side came out when being questioned about her relationship with Rob. In episode 6, she was insightful towards the game and towards Sue etc. I liked the budding romance with Rob, which showed in episode 8 when they shared their first kiss, and you could tell it was more than strategy for her and him at that point. Episode 9 was a real bummer. She was separated from her tribe in a really strange pick 'em. It was awful ... but she had to make the best of it. When Chapera lost the challenge, she worked Kathy for over two hours according to interviews. To convince her the final 6 was Amber/Rob/Kathy/Lex/ShiiAnn/Tom. Now obviously that is a terrible final 6 for Amber, yet she was still able to convince Kathy she was truthful. Which was the deciding factor of her staying. She.saved.herself. Even Kathy and Lex have inadvertently acknowledged that. And more evidence, look how bitter Kathy was towards Amber. She was very bitter, AND her voting confessional even states, "Amber, you didn't have to lie to me about final 6. You didn't have to lie that big." And not many people have pulled themselves out of situations like she did, being in the minority of a tribe and spending only 2 and a half days with them before TC, after your old team has slaughtered them in comps. Even Jerri, who played with her originally, acknowledged the big change in her game that she saw. Give her credit people! After the merge, people use justification that she wanted to keep Lex and Kathy from a 15 second clip as proof that she was a follower ... up 15 seconds, for real? Grasping at straws. Even Rob has said they made decisions equally. Again with the selective listening. She was the only Chaperan to give Shii Ann the time of day, and it shows the great social game that Amber had. She was able to make a small info alliance with Alicia to the point where Alicia was still bitter towards Amber, but not nearly on the level she was to Rob. But Amber still had that separate thing with Alicia. At final 5, once Rob told Amber that he was in trouble, Amber made her own strategic decision (the biggest proof, she couldn't mind communicate with Rob during the challenge). She got a big lead, and waited to see who was second place. When it was Rob, she let him win because she knew Rob was in danger, and since she was seen as less threatening, she didn't need that immunity. I loved when she won that final 4 immunity. <3 And almost won final 3, but Probst opened his yap ... Amber said "I threw you that last one (Final 5)" to get him to step down. At final TC, Amber knew people in the past had been upset when the finalists didn't attribute luck to their win, so she took notes and incorporated it into her answer. Wouldn't have been the way I would have put it in, for Alicia's question, but she was still thinking. I was so happy when she won. <3 The only favourite I had going in made it to the end and won.

People are upset they beat out their favourites, and I can understand because it's not like I was jumping for joy when Parvati and Amanda beat out Cirie, and Eliza/Jonathan/Ami. But that doesn't mean they didn't deserve it or didn't play the game well. People say that she had the say that she played the game exactly the same as Australia. Well quite frankly, anyone who says that is an idiot (in this instance at least), because they're ignoring the facts and they're making a gross oversimplification. Amber didn't go to play in Australia, and has admitted that. She was there for the experience. She aligned with Jerri BEFORE anyone hated her. Fact. She aligned with Rob KNOWING that people hated him. And she made her own decisions, she made her own little alliances, and played a brilliant social game... look at how upset everyone was to see her go at the switch. They adored her. Which is why they felt betrayed. But not as much as others. She played with Shii-Ann perfectly. Jerri, who she spent so much time with in S2, saw the huge change in which she played. Rob has acknowledged it. Lex and Kathy have inadvertently acknowledged that she was the one who saved herself at the switch, and Kathy has inadvertently acknowledged that Amber played her. At final 4, she convinced Jenna L to switch, because she has said that Rob was making her want to vote with Rupert even more. In secret scenes on the DVD, Amber worked over Jenna. Plus, look at the facts. Amber made it to the end with the person she was quite obviously romantically connected with. And to have such a strong personality like Rob, someone else must have been there to help keep that alliance in the game, because who would want to keep around someone who could be an asshole? Amber must have done something, contrary to popular belief, to keep herself and Rob in the game. It most likely had to do with working over Alicia and Jenna etc to be loyal to Chapera.

People are probably upset with #1. But deal with it.

Now as a side note, some things with this list have probably changed. I've rewatched Borneo, Australia, and Africa, and I have some opinion changes:

- LOVE Sue in Borneo. I hated her with the fire of a billion burning suns the first time around, but she was actually quite hilarious.
- Didn't like Colby as much as I thought I did, since he was very corny and entitled, especially at the end with Keith, but he also played a lot harder than I remembered, so that bumps him up a bit from the dip he took
- Adore Kimmi, would have her a lot higher
- Like Mike a lot more as well
- Alicia was not as great as I thought she was in S2, except after the merge
- Jerri was tougher and better and funnier than I remembered
- Linda took a 180 in my eyes. Hated her originally, love her now
- Tom would rate a lot higher for Africa
- Kim J wasn't as bad as I thought. I'd have her a lot higher
