This question has probably already been asked, but how are the couples decided next week? Do they pull numbers out of a hat or do the judges match them up?

She's a real cutie, but there's so little substance to her performances that you forget about them (and her) not long after the show is over. The pairs and dancers will be engineered by the producers. There's no way anything on this show is random. The hat nonsense is simply nonsense. |

Oh, and I highly disagree, for those who are writing Jessica off as being toast next week. She's going to sail for a few weeks (though I don't think she'll be in the finale). She has one week to sail (something tells me Kherington is on the edge) because I am praying Troll goes next. I just cannot stand her or her fake smiley face. |

Don't all cheerleaders have fake smiley faces? It think it is a prerequisite. Short and perky with puppy-dog eyes does help Courtney be more likeable to
me.
Jessica might get sympathy votes if the judges slam her again. I noticed some fine print at the very end of the show related to couples and how they were matched. It looks like it said it was up to the judges so I think the 'random draw' is just for TV. |

It's the dance styles/choreography that is random. They pull it out of a hat and Cat holds the hat. Cat would not knowingly participate in anything that wasn't completely above board. : -) |

It says that the couples are selected by the producers, but the styles are selected randomly. The second part is a load of horseshit. |

The judges may not have said it but supposedly random partners seemed to be common knoledge on all the message boards I had visited. It always did seem like
too much of a coincidence to me that the tallest and shortest people of each gender just happened to get together.
All I can say is that Mark better not get stuck with Jessica next week. Blatant manipulation always annoys me. |

i know i'm late to post this, but i thought it was awful how they gave jessica just one more slam because they could with that offhand remark, "well,
if we could have voted off 2 girls tonight and kept one of the boys we would have." nice. here, jess...have one more kick in the ass while we still have
you around. good luck next week!

I actually wouldn't mind. If they're great, he'll get all the credit for making her good when Will couldn't. If they suck together, everybody will blame it all on her, and they'll vote to save him. It's a win-win for Mark... |

<<What in the holy hell did Jessica do to these judges? Eat a baby in front of them? Granted she is clunky out there, but man alive that was overboard
this week.>>
It was ridiculous. Mia needs her ass beat. Will's been carrying her? Please. That would involve a lift. |

<<I'm a little confused at the Jessica love here and in other forums (some posters are canonizing her at TWoP). I think it's based on sympathy,
Will hate, and, I dunno -- boobs?>>
Don't know about any of the other boards, but I don't think I've seen any "Jessica love" that didn't explicitly mention at least two of those three (or four) things. Who thinks she's a great dancer? Not me, but she's not nearly as bad as they say and Will's not nearly as good. He lifts her like she's an engine block, and if she looks awkward coming out of a lift maybe she's stunned at her good luck that he didn't drop her on her head. "Great individual, rotten partner". It'll be on his headstone. |

I just caught up with my Tivo...
...God, I have such a mancrush on Thayne. I just feel that he is a superb dancer, but he had an uphill climb from the beginning. I honestly believe if I ever saw him in public, I'd just want to give hum a humongous hug. During the performance show, I honestly felt horrible for him and Comfort. Week after week, it's got to be tough to get such underwhelming praise when everyone else gets tongue baths. It was just UNFAIR. Anyways, in terms of performances...I think Katee is incredible and carries every dance she is in. That Bollywood number was insane. And I think she was gorgeous in the Waltz...but I also think that Jean-Marc picked the perfect song. If he had picked a slower song, I'm not sure I would've liked it as much. And...ps...I thought that Jessica and Will's "Adam and Eve" number was incredibly overrated by the judges. It was boring and clumsy. Courtney and Gev quickly became my favorite couple...only to be eked out by Chelsea and Mark...and let's see how it works out next week. |

So I just caught up with this weeks episode. I agree with most you that say they were unjustly harsh on Jessica. I don't think she's the greatest
dancer but geez give the girl a break. If they keep ripping her apart she will stick around. They just need to tone it down and she will be voted off. Most
voters are stupid and are easily manipulated into voting how the judges want and tell them to.
Wasn't sad to see Comfort go since I thought she should have left before Kourtni. I felt bad for Thayne. He had to know he had no chance of staying. Will and Twitch could have just shit on stage during their solos and they still would have made it. I don't get all the love for Chelsie. She's a good dancer but in her clips she annoys me. And I'm sick of hearing how beautiful she is because she's not. She's cute in that generic sororawhore way. I wanted to hate the midgets in the beginning but I can't. Their clips make them seem so likable and they're sort of the underdogs so I can't help but root for them. Although I have to admit their dances are always so forgettable. |

Shocked but thrilled that Comfort finally got the boot. I credit Mary, as he probably had a tight squeeze on Nigel's buttons until he relented in keeping
Jessica over Comfort.
Thayne was growing on me and thought it was obvious & invetible he was going home I felt a little bad. Maybe if Mia starts putting Thayne in her routines, some of Thayne's "exuberance & happiness" will rub off on her and she won't be so bitchy. Well, now comes the time when I am going to have to set aside a couple hours every Wed night and vote for my faves. I will really be disappointed if the F4 aren't Mark + Katee + Josh + Chelsie. I don't even know yet who I want to win, because I enjoy them all so far. Can't wait to see how they fare during the partner switchups. I think Mark is coming out more and more my personal fave, with Katee as my number 2. Mark always performs fantastically in every piece he does. Dancing is wonderful, but the peformance aspect is what makes a piece great. A few of the routines Wed, like G&C's Indiana Jones routine and Twitchington's Tango, the entire time I watched their so-so performances I thought how great the routine would have been with Mark in it. It annoys me that Mark is not one of the chosen ones of the judges and how they nitpick and get their little digs in whenever they can, in addition to the lack of screen time. Yet, here he is one of the frontrunners no matter how hard they try to make him invisible. They are also starting in on Joshua, too. Ugh, just annoying. I totally expect Mark to be paired with Jessica next week in another blatant attempt to bring down Mark. However, I see Mark as one of the best at partnering this season, so I think he's still do great. I'm guessing he & Jess will get a ballroom routine and something like disco in order to make it really hard for the two of them. Gev & Cheslie will likely be paired, mainly due to their size & personalities. Will & Katee are, without a doubt, going to be paired up. The judges are going to want to give Will the best partner and she is it at the moment. Then it will be Twitch & Courtney and Joshua & Kherington, by default. I'm guessing the judges are going to try their hardest to cut down Joshua & Mark and maybe Gev a little, too. They obviously know their deity Will is in danger and they don't want to lose him next week. Can't wait to see what they come up with: "Mark, your crooked pinky really took away from the routine and made it unbearable to watch." "Joshua, your legs & ass are much too muscular and distracting to us and are much too prominent for this soft routine." Last comment. Will was great in his solo and it was nice to finally see what all the fuss has been about. However, with the judges cramming down our throats that Will is some kind of god of dance, I am rooting for him to be the first guy out next week. Sorry, Will. I have nothing against you, but that's just the way it is. Good riddance, if not to just piss of the judges & Debbie. |
