My impressions of the dawgs (all of whom I really like to one degree or another):

-Galaxy's gonna be hard to beat 'cause that's one kick-ass mixed breed. I mean, here's a pooch who's probably got a good measure of the intelligence of a Border Collie, the focus of a Pointer and the trainability of a Lab. Dang. No wonder he did so well coming right out of the gate.

-Preston, the Wonder Punk (love that description) seems to be a very fit, compact little package of smarts, great personality, good training.

-Kenji, one of the younger pooches, seems to be one of the more impulsive/excitable ones, I think. But one who also seems to be fairly obedient and well-trained (though a little more in need of extra training than the top 2, at this point). Also appears to be pretty bright and good-natured. And, I must say, while all the doggies are lovely/adorable in their own ways, IMO, Kenji is just plain gorgeous.

-Presley is a real cutie and the other youngun of the bunch. He's also shown himself to pretty similar to Kenji in the impulsive/excitable area. But, I think he's a good, smart boy who will come along quite well in his training.

-Tillman is a stah. 'Cause he's just. so. chill. But, he also takes orders very well, if in his own laid back way. However, while he looks to be a strong, healthy dog, his stocky, heavier body could be a hindrance in upcoming competitions that may require a certain amount of speed and agility that he simply doesn't have.

-Star, to me, is this sweet, low-key, oddly ladylike, little creature, who will calmly go about giving her all in everything her human asks of her. But, like Tillman with his body type, her age, unfortunately, could be an issue in how it could hinder her performance in some competitive tasks.

-Leroy's a Border Collie so there's a good chance he's smart as a whip and intensely wants to be given some kind of "work" he can throw himself into, but, he also appears to be the product of little to no proper training. Not a surprise, considering how clueless his owner seems to be. These two come across as one of the most ill-matched pairs on the show. I think they're both in need of some training help from the show's dog experts.

-Elvis is a cool little guy. And I think he and his owner compliment each other well. Like the typical Jack Russell, he looks to be up for anything. So, I'd say he has a decent chance of doing well. Especially since his small size and quickness could actually be an advantage in certain tasks.

-Andrew I really like. Cute as a button, but not cutesy. Another solid performer who's obviously been the recipient of good basic obedience training. I think there's a chance he could do surprisingly well.

-Bella Starlet is such a pretty little dog, really a doll. I think she has the potential to be more than just the dressup toy/baby her owner has turned her into. And that's because I kinda thought I saw a brightness in her eyes that makes me think there's probably a lot more smarts and personality to her than might come across on a first impression.

-Beacon is adorable. But, geez, as with Leroy, (s)he's got one of those owners who's also in need of training. Mostly for Beacon's sake, I sincerely hope they both get some of the basic stuff before they're booted.

Overall I really enjoyed the show. And I look forward to next week's eppy.
