I hope he gets a better recognition back home out of this. If Gordon was being sincere, it was really close at the end (even though Christina won many more challenges throughout the competition). I agree with whoever said that if Gordon was "looking toward the future" then why pick a 47-y-o as one of your final two?! I rarely believe anything that he justifies. I have watched all seasons of HK and don't remember some much screw-ups in the kitchen on Finals Night ever before. It made the F2 seem tarnished, and less worthy of winning the Grand Prize. Maybe next season, they shouldn't bring back the former contestants for the last challenge.

I liked her up until the last two weeks. Yuck. For those who called bullshit on Christina winning, she at least was able to run the kitchen by herself. Gordon had to sit there and tell Petrozza what to do. I also think another difference maker was that Christina motivated Matt (the problem child) while Petrozza really didn't handle his problem child, Jen, very well.

Did Chef Ramsey actually agree to give it to her? Also, considering how she appeared on a reality show you would think that there would be a few executive chefs that might recognize her and the stuff that she did on the show. That would so work against her regardless of what kind of letter chef Ramsey gives her. Although I can understand why chef Ramsey wanted to hire a foul mouthed moldable young girl sounding like she is always on the verge of having a cold at any given minute, I did favour Petrozza. He was very good at what he did, and along with Bobby was one of the strongest cooks there. I think he ended on a high note and no doubt will find himself an executive chef in a restaurant better than the one Christina has to deal with.

I can't remember what Christina's signature dish (though I'm guessing that it was something simple). I wish that Matt or Jen would have completely lost it and purposely sabotaged the meals to make someone lose. Could the finalists (and/or Gordon) boot them off? Who would then have taken their place? If the two sous chefs would have stepped in, I would have booted those two off (Matt and Jen) as soon as possible and replace them.

Because they didn't show his response, I'm guessing he said yes. If he'd turned her down, surely they would have shown it for the drama factor. Petrozza, my dirty teddy bear.

Guess "works well with others" won't be in the letter. Maybe she'll sell it on Ebay Christinas menu seemed easier to manage, I think Petrozzas was probably better food, btu too hard to execute & he didn't prep it right, so he lost before he began.

Anyway, that finale kind of blew. Gordon has given some really weak reasons for his decisions this season. I love how his final decision basically boiled down to "Petrozza's too old". Yeah, more old and experienced which is why he was able to improvise on the fly like that when they ran out of prepped food for the appetizers. Oh well .. Jen's attitude is so self-defeating. She's got the attitude because she wasn't successful and wasn't hired. Yet she'll never get hired anywhere with that horrible attitude. Duh! Matt I think is just too stupid to understand that but I actually think Jen should maybe know better. This season was pretty weak overall but I stayed entertained and in the end that's what I watch TV for so it's all good.

I don't think the show's going down the tubes, I think they did the best they could with what limited time they had. And I never get tired of hearing Gordon call people donuts.

X And if his three appetizers were a lobster dish, a salad, and a sweetbreads dish, he should have known the sweetbreads would be the least popular and made sure to have enough of the others to complete service even if nobody ordered the sweetbreads.
