Heard that a few minutes ago on WFAN. I miss Bob.
Shockingly, Russo is giving the Mets credit. He's sucking up to Mets fans cause he's afraid that his beloved team might get smoked.

Well Fatcesca isn't on trying to deflect attention away from the pitching challenged Yankees. Angry Puppy tends to piledog the Mets then. I expected the usual Billy Wagner ripjob but even there he turned it into some weird sort of compliment. |

To hell with these Cardinals coming in, i want more Mets.
That was some good shit and really what it's all about. I say this of course knowing they will never see first place this season. Bank it. |

Last time StarRider said "bank it" was when he predicted the last Super Bowl to be the mother of all blowouts. He was right.
Once again the Mets travelled down the pike and layed the smack down on the Phillies. Yawn. It was awfully nice of the Mets allowing the Phillies to score some runs and salvage what little dignity they had left. StarRider wrote: |

Where are the Cubs fans?
The Cubs received the right-handed Rich Harden and righty Chad Gaudin for pitcher Sean Gallagher, outfielders Matt Murton and Eric Patterson, and minor leaguer Josh Donaldson. |

I was wondering the same thing.

You really think the Brewers will make it with Soloman Torres Eric Gagne and Guillermo Motaroids in the bullpen?

Since GeneOkerlund27 did not report this in the GeneOkerlund27 gazette, GeneOkerlund27 does not win the big prize but will recieve two tickets to a future
Twins game.

Cubs fan here. Why do all the experts keep saying "if he stays healthy" over and over. Please tell me he's not another ass-hole - oh I mean
Prior. I'm happy that Murton will get a chance somewhere else.
I got Steve Stone's autograph at a a Peoria minor league game last year. (he was filling in for Ron Santo). Anyway, I told him I wished he was still announcing for the Cubs and he said me too. The guy knows more about baseball than anyone else, I swear. I miss him. They treated him like shit. God forbid that you say someone sucks when they do in fact suck. |

As of now, Cubs and Brewers are the two best teams in the NL. Mets and Phillies better upgrade before the trading deadline or else either team can forget about making a deep run in October. |

I have read that Harden is a head case and not a good clubhouse guy. I rarely if at all pay attention to his former division so i don't know any details.
He played for Oakland right? |

Oh shit. Number of starts don't sound good. But they keep repeating he's started 11 games in a row! Oh my! I sure hope he's not a headcase and a jerk in the clubhouse. I'd also like to express my thanks to CRA for being a decent Sox fan (and it hurts to say that as I despise Sox fans). Yiu couldn't pay me to listen to Hawk. My brother-in-law always bitches about Ron Santo but I love him. Who cares if he's a homer? I like that he's emotionally invested. I don't listen to him for relevant information. Actually, I don't really listen to him much at all, but I love him from my first years as a Cubs fan. Banks, Williams, Kessinger, Beckert, Santo, Jenkins... Yes, I'm old and still waiting and hoping.

I'm still trying to figure out why everyone thinks that suddenly the Brewers are going to be the greatest team on the planet just because they picked up
last season's Cy Young winner. They still have Gagne and Mota in the pen. And Sheets is well...Sheets and he has yet to get that injury (hang nail,
blister, split end whatever...) that will no doubt land him on the DL for 2 months!
I hope I'm wrong and I hope they make a run and end up in the playoffs at the very least. I hope the game I am going to at Wrigley in September will
mean something but I'm leary!
