This week's episode was great. I did not like the girl and for her to lose all the money on the question (do you regret getting back together with your boyfriend) was perfect.

Apparently, I am the only one watching this.

I suffer through this show since nothing else is on. It still drags on forever. But that one gal last week mad it worth watching. They always repeat the
questions coming up over & over & I assumed she'd get a few more right so it was refreshing to see her get an easy one wrong.

Shelled97 wrote: Those questions are always obvious yes answers. There's going to be some point, even if it's after a fight or a bad day, where you have once said you regret it, even if you don't really mean it. This week looks rough with the woman possibly being confronted by the driver who nearly killed her son. And, I forgot to ask. Do fat people repulse the guy from the commercial? I missed that episode. |

Why yes, yes they do.
The fat gal from NAMBLA that asked the question heard his answer & when asked to respond all she said was, "Oh, OK then." I thought it was funny. I expected her to go off on him or something. |

I missed it what did the lady say about ending her mother's life?

She said that she wouldn't kill her mother if she was terminally ill and she asked her too.
Yay for someone making it to $200,000. That episode seemed kinda tame, except with the whole confrontation with the guy that almost killed her son. It takes a really strong person to really forgive someone for that, and I respect her for it. Does anyone remember when they first aired promos for this show with a black woman being asked if she would donate a kidney to save her father's life? That hasn't aired yet, and it pisses me off. I really wanna know the answer! |

Interesting episode. Do we know why the son was wearing sunglasses? I think that was a Moment of Truth first!
I thought it was funny how she said what a great guy her 4th (and current) husband is, but would not have married him if he did not have money. Yes, that is a true sign of love. Is there any wonder she has been amrried 4 times? |

Shelled97 wrote:Actually, I commend her for that attitude. She didn't come across as a gold digger, simply a smart woman with a very practical outlook on money and its possible impact on relationships. She just seemed like she wanted to make sure he was financially stable beforehand. Would you marry someone knowing they were a financial wreck and that you would be taking on that legal responsibility ? If you answer yes, then good luck to you, because you'd be a good mark for a con man or gold digger. If you answer no, then you're just like her, which I hope you are. If you answer no, but you wouldn't go so far as to actively find out what your potential mate's financial standing was, then you're living in denial. That woman was not living in denial, which is part of why she managed to win $200,000. |

Shelled97 wrote:Yes, it looks like we interpreted the situation differently. You and your wife were on equal footing, and you both went in with your eyes wide open. That's what was important, not how much money you had. The woman on the show seemed to have some money of her own (based on her demeanor and occupation), and she didn't want some guy she would have to mommy financially. And especially since they were both probably in their 40s when they married, it would be very important if/why the guy had no money. That's why I said "financial wreck". It seems to me the show went out of its way to try to paint her as a bitch. Some background: I hit the commercial skip button the second the ominous music begins (to indicate an upcoming commercial). I skip the preview, commercials and summary, and only rejoin when the last unanswered question has been reasked. Usually. During the last or 2nd last segment, I accidentally rejoined during the summary. They were trying to portray her as a heartless, conniving shrew, who would walk all over her family and humiliate them just for the cash. That was NOT how she came across from the watching only the Q&A sections. So it appears the show is trying to get its audience to hate its contestants. Is that the producers' idea of entertainment ? If so, that puts them beneath their own tawdry premise and (some of) their scumbucket contestants. |
