Cirie not being the top of the Exile Island contestants DEPRECIATION. The Courtney triple-play alone should have got her way higher than Misty or Sally (who I liked, but clearly not to the level that you liked them).

I'm not sure which guy to hope to see out before the top 10 because honestly, they both suck. I just hope that Courtney will be making the top 10. Preferably, the top 5.

At the time of EI, I was into La Mina more so than Casaya (Cirie was the only one I liked). Even then though, from episodes 3, 4, 5, 6, she was largely a one note character with the "casaya crazies shouldn't be in an alliance together" but she was still endearing and I loved her. Just not as much as La Mina. Actually, I had Cirie at #4 for exile, and Austin at #3 before Micronesia, but S16 made me appreciate her more in S12.

13. Rob Mariano (Survivor Marquesas)

I actually loathed Rob during the first good chunk of Marquesas, from episode 1 to 4. He started off as a cocky asshole who ruined Gina and Hunter. But in ep 5, I thought, maybe he's okay (same with Sean), and I was glad to see him try and get Gabe to vote off John. In episode 6, I started to like him more when he called out John on the Rotu 4 when they were denying it. And in episode 7 I loved him because of his summit meet with Kathy and him blatantly trying to take down the alliance. His scene with him, Kathy and Zoe was awesome, and tense. Even though I loved him in that episode, I still left the season with a dislike for him (so you could imagine my disappointment with the whole "Romber" thing). But ASS made me love him and when I rewatched S4, I don't know how I hated him. In ep 1, he was so awkward around camp, it provided some great entertainment. In episode 2, he emerged more as a player. It sucked to see him lose the food challenge, but he knew he had control over two votes, and then with his alliance with Sean, the votes were set. In episode 3, he made a great comment about how he was exactly like Hunter, but he wouldn't show it (it came out in ASS and it got him so close to the win). He also had the Godfather comment which was fun, he was in control of the tribe. After the switch, he had some great confessionals and one liners poking fun at the Rotu tribe. He was never afraid to stir the pot with them which was great TV. He called them out when he needed to, he tried to flip the game on John, which was awesome; too bad Gabe blocked that chance. In episode 6 he wasn't afraid to show his hand and it almost cost him the game. But I loved the confessional, "I smoked everyone and then dumb and dumber proceeded to screw up the rest of the race." Then he kicked ass in the immunity challenge. After the merge, he went out guns blazing. I truly don't think we would have seen such a great mutiny if it weren't for Rob... he was just unlucky enough to miss it.






















































12. Courtney Yates (Survivor China)

This will upset L5. But I did bump her up two spots. Anyway, Courtney was such an interesting character. Before China even started I knew she'd be a star because she was just such a unique personality, and someone who was so different to the series. She was totally out of her element, but that made watching her that much more interesting. She was whiny and bitchy, but in a charming way and an entertaining way. Watching her bitch out the ceremony and her tribe in episode 1 was hilarious. She continued with this, commenting on the JR-Aaron bitch fight in episode 2. Then seeing her survive episode 3 after sucking at the IC was awesome... except it would have been better if JR left over Leslie. But I loved the friendship between her and Leslie... it was so strange, unexpected, but amazing. Loved them both, so to see such different people be so close was very interesting to watch. She was pretty much in the clear after the tribe swap though, where she was fairly low key until she hated on JR again. It was a very interesting feud, definitely entertaining. Though at times it seemed very one way. Sorry, love you Courtney, but it's true. After the merge, she friggen won an immunity challenge. How amazing was that? The last person anyone thought would win but she pulled it through. <3 She had great one liners, and confessionals, including the one about Todd's sister. Funny stuff. She stayed UTR though, which knocks her down a few pegs, but she was hysterical in the recap, with her impressions of Jaime, and again at the reunion... "I actually hate kids!" hahaha. And then she posted on sucks with verve, and pm'd me with a very sweet message. :love, which brings her up several pegs, and top 12 is amazing. And I leave you with this great gem...

11. Misty Giles (Survivor Panama Exile Island)

Misty was definitely one a few survivor crushes I had. She was smart, sexy, and very charismatic. I actually hated her pre-show. I didn't watch her pre-show video, but I read on sucks that she was arrogant in that she proclaimed she was the complete package or something and that she had brains and beauty, and I thought she could be conceited, and I didn't even think she was that good looking (but that changed once I started to like her). But after episode 1, I loved her. She handled exile island really well, was a trooper, and showed smarts in how she was going to trick everyone into thinking she had the idol. "How much time did you spend looking for the idol?" "Enough." <3 She was kind of UTR in episode 2, but I loved that she had an alliance with Sally. In episode 3, she came out as a character again. She knew she needed to break up the boys club through Austin and Nick, and she tried so hard, with strategy, flirting, anything she could use. It really, really sucked to see her get voted out, big hit to the season. But that's not why she's so high. She really impressed me in post-show interviews, and she was actually number 13, but I bumped her up because while I just read a couple interviews from her, and she was very insightful, smart, fun. Something a lot of you guys may not know, she was a huge fan of the show. Her faves were Elisabeth and Neleh, and she has wanted to be on the show for ages. I'm kind of nerdy, so to hear that she's kind of nerdy as well in that before EI, she made charts etc on each player, how they played, what worked, and what didn't. Which makes the fact that she got booted for being a threat much worse, because she prepared so much. But she had great interviews, knew the game, would have stirred the pot at the merge, loved Sally, was rooting for her, huge fan of the show, and I loved that she had the guts to go on a radio show and trash Terry to no end for treating Dan like dogshit. <3 That was a really nice thing to do for him. She's incredibly smart, which is another draw, I hear she's actually very nice as well, and she just could have kicked a lot of ass. Definitely robbed. Misty was a hardcore player who, honestly, on any other season, I think she could have made final 4 every time. She was just incredibly unlucky.

This top 10 looks good to me. Honestly, I probably have some minor changes depending on my mood. There's 1 in particular on this list that I went back and forth on, thinking about putting them in #12, but this is the way it fell.

Also, after the list is over, I'll reveal some changes of heart I had.. particularly with one contestant from Borneo, who's placement would change dramatically if I had saw the season again before making the list. Whether or not it turned love into hate or hate into love is a secret. Any guesses who it could be though?
