It never even occurred to me that he might be into men. I always thought him and Katee looked like they could just get it on in the middle of the stage. He must just be that good of a dancer.
*sighs*
I hope seaguy is wrong, for once.

The last few pages broke my heart. Joshua is gay? Does this mean I have to cancel my wedding plans?

I'm jumping on the annoyed with the judges train! Mary has completely lost volume control, and Nigel seems supremely smug at times.
What's also getting to me is that it seems like they talk for so looong now. Another thing--earlier this morning I read a comment about the bad camera work, especially during group numbers. ITA to that. Just shoot the stage from almost dead center and don't effing move the camera or switch cameras! Half the time I can't even tell who is who the camera is jumping around so fast, especially when they are in wigs, hats, etc. and the lighting is dim. It was annoying during AI, too. Must be the same camera crew. One good thing--last year Cat really wore out her "here are your (hand to ear) jidges!" She must have realized that schtick had worn thin and hasn't been doing it this year. Good for her. |

I still love Mary...I don't care what you say.
And honestly, as annoyed as I am that Twitchington were set up to be the power couple...I have loved them so far, and I thought the contemporary number was beautiful...and Kherington did phenomenally with the Paso. |

season. The judges would do good to take some pointers from Cat. Cat is just major <33333333 all around though.

The bed dance was pretty good (to me, Kherington owned it, even though she was hiding half the time). Problem is, it is basically critic-proof. There were
very few stylized moves (unlike the other contempo piece Mia did this week), and it was really hard to tell with some of the moves if they were right on or
being incredibly sloppy.

I would say if there are precious few dance moves and most of it is hidden, it is not so much critic proof as it is NOT REALLY DANCING. I have a feeling that Mia didn't let Kherington do too much so that it didn't completely look like "Cedric on the stairs". If Kherington danced up a storm while Twitch sat on the bed flailing his arms and making faces, it would have really looked like they were protecting Twitch. |

I still like the judges and after watching the Australia version (where I would FF through the judges because they talked for so long and were so boring and
pointless) I'm grateful we don't have them.

I would trade Nigel for Jason in a heartbeat. Bonnie was full of piffle, but I'd take her over Mary. The little guy was a waste of airtime. |

Was there much dancing during the Travis/Heidi bench routine? My recall was that there wasn't, but I could be wrong.

Hanson, it is definitely dancing. I have seen many dances like that. IT is just a clever piece in a competition like this, because the judges do not have
choreographer's notes and the like. With a PAso, you KNOW when they are fucking up. With Jazz DAnce, it is similarly obvious. With most of contemporary,
it is clear, as well... but this one was quite clever in the way that it looked like the laiziness might have been deliberate.
Twitch seemed lazy in the piece whether or not the choreography meant him to be. Kher actually had some fire in her belly, which I appreciated. And yes, I think Twitch is way out of his league. He is appealing as all get out, but just not on the level his fans would have you believe. |

Was there much dancing during the Travis/Heidi bench routine? Not as much for Heidi. I thought the bed piece was okay if not a little too literal. I think the judges here are better than most reality shows but they're starting to become characters. I'm also noticing how inconsistent Nigel is. I think he's always been this way but since they're already annoying me, I'm starting to notice it more. He told one person this week that he wasn't going to do that whole "you danced that routine well for a hip hopper , etc." thing (funny that he suddenly decided not to do this when he's been doing it all season) but then turned around and told some couple (I forget who) they were good for people out of their dance style. |

The judges have pretty much all become parodies of themselves. It happens after a few seasons of ANY show. At least they have not dropped quite to the lows
of self-reverential Seacrest.

That's kind of lazy, walkitout. I know, but I'm allowed to be lazy when it's the 4th of July and having gone the whole month of June without a single Holiday! Anyways I didn't know this was all on wikipedia. Thanks Hanson for that tip. Josh/Katee's first routine "No Air" was supposed to be hip hop? I did think that was a contemporary routine. |
