they should've gotten someone who actually looked 18 for this video... Carrie looks like she's almost 30 at least. and there are those dead eyes again... |

Carrie fans, I have a question. I bought Carrie's How Great Thou Art on iTunes about a month ago. Recently, I've noticed that after that song plays on
my playlist, no other songs will play, and it will just skip over them until the playlist ends and restarts. Does anyone have this problem/know how to fix it?

Carrie chart update:
Albums: Carrie remains the only Idol with an album in the Top 40 of the BB200: her second album, Carnival Ride dropped one slot to #34 and sold 14K last week. (Previous weeks, were #32, #33, #33, and now #34 -- that's staying as steady as steady can be). In comparison, Jordin dropped to #75, and Daughtry to #79. There are no other Idols on the album chart. Carrie's first album finally dropped below 100 on the BB200, and normally, would be removed. But some lucky glitch is at work, and she remained on the BB200, at #105. (Hers is not the only album, there are about 5 in this situation, and BB is doing a lousy job of explaining why. They'll "look into it."). Anyway, as it stands, that's 137 weeks on the BB200, far outlasting any other Idol to date. (2 years, 8 1/2 months on the chart). Also, of course, its the top selling Idol album, at 6.4 million sold to date. For the BB year (which runs from October to September), Carrie leads the Idol pack with Carnival Ride sales of 1,385,731 total sold during that period, to date. In comparison, Daughtry sold 867,730 ... and Jordin sold 837,130. Carrie is in the Top 10 of all albums sold that are currently on the BB200, at #10. Daughtry is at #23, and Jordin at #24. For the calendar year, beginning Jan.1, Daughtry is in the individual lead with sales of 515,423 ... Carrie CR sales of 510,010 ... and Jordin with 429,817. But Carrie also has that first album on the chart, and I don't have those numbers. Its easy to see though, that with only 5,000 albums separating her and Daughtry, she's easily outsold him if you count both her albums. She sold 7,000 alone of Some Hearts just this past week, and we're 26 weeks into the year. You guys do the math. :) Singles "Last Name" dropped out of the Top 10 on Country this week, to #12, and at the same time entered the Hot A/C and Pop charts, currently at #45 and #75 respectively. It'll easily enter the Top 40 on Hot A/C, and we'll have to watch to see what it does on Pop. It currently sits at #45 on the BB Hot 100. Before the kbots get their party hats out over "Last Name" dropping on the Country chart, Carrie FOURTH single entered the Country chart this week too, which accounts for "Last Name" dropping out of the Top 10 (because stations have started switching over to play the new single now). "Just a Dream" entered at #86, and will likely have a rapid rise. We shall see. It should rise about the same pace as "Last Name" drops. (This is Country only remember, "Last Name" is only going up on Hot A/C and Pop). And just to make all the Carrie haterz really crazy, she had a THIRD song that popped up on the charts just this weekend: The "Star Spangled Banner" entered the Country chart at #71, and 23 stations picked it up. (Which is phenomenal, since usually 3-5 or so, at most 7 or 8, stations pick up a song each week, so 23 is just crazy! Obviously it must have something to do with the 4th of July weekend, because Phil Stacy also entered the Country chart with a patriotic song "Old Glory" -- 14 stations picked that one up). That one will likely not last long, but its on the chart, and as it is, that means that Carrie has 4 songs currently charting on various charts : "Last Name" (on Country, Hot A/C, and Pop), "Just a Dream" (on Country only), "All American Girl" (still on the Digital d/l chart), and the SSB also on Country only. Also, "So Small" is still being played by two stations, over 50 spins a week between the two. I don't think Carrie's hurtin'. And y/w! :) |
